See I find that is sonething that to many people seem to think in general. To be fair I think more people that play safe always think that they won't catch anything.
I looked for a post from a couple of years ago where a forum member accused anyone that got tested as being a secret barebacker because why would you need testing if you used condoms..
As to the op.. why do we all put ourselves at risk by having multiple partners ?
I'd say most would answer because we see adults and we want to and are fully aware of the risks..I'd imagine it's the same for bb. |

It is a choice thing! Just remember condoms don't protect you from everything!!! And they aren't 100% safe.

No gown up can possibly be unaware of the risks bareback entails but as grown ups they are perfectly entitled to make their own choices.

I'm pretty sure all couples have bareback sex with each other , just as we do .
Why ?
Because of course it feels better , and those that choose to do it on meets have weighed up the risk vs pleasure and chosen to go for the pleasure .
We wish them well , and can certainly see why they choose to take the risk , despite it not being one we are prepared to take .
We enjoy the lifestyle way too much to have to stop so it's not worth it  |

I think these threads are posted to stir up the hornets nest sometimes as it usually attracts the same responses everytime.
BB which ever way you look at it is more thrilling and intimate, it's the natural way to have intercourse but obv has risks attached if you play with someone that has an STD. People make their own decisions and way up this risks and in the heat of things in sure can get carried away only to worry later.
We have played bb with a third who we saw regularly but then we all knew each other's status as we were tested. Without doubt it added to the intimacy as it allowed a deeper connection, we are still here and live to tell the tale so obv wasn't all bad.
So long as YOU use or insist on protection then I don't see what the fuss is about. I don't understand why my friend likes to ride his bike at speed down mountains with shear drops but he chooses to so it's his choice, not something I'd be doing though. |

To answer the OP's question if I have sex with another person without using protection the other person would have to mutually agree to it, so there is no issue whatsoever there.
As for me personally, while I'm alive I intend to live the way I choose. When I'm dead I'll no longer be alive but I would have lived. I would rather live a short time than just exist for the longest time possible.
I'm not suggesting that so-called safe-sex means just existing, I'm not suggesting that bareback means really living life to the full but in the end we all try to live our lives the way we want to.
Why do some people partake of bareback casual sex... because they want to. OP, why are you a swinger? Why do you partake of casual sex with relative strangers? After all, if you didn't do such things you would be at no real risk of any STI. We can only assume that you consider the risk and then do what you want to do in spite of the risk  |

Regardless to the amazing pleasure you get from not using a condom, why on earth would ANYBODY allow a guy they've just met, don't even know ther name let alone know who they are, penetrate them with 50/50 chance of either getting pregnant or catching somthing unwanted.
The only time to have unprotected sex in my opinion is with a secure long term partner.  |

Well I think your odds are way off as I certainly don't have a 50/50 chance of catching something or getting pregnant If I chose to do it bare.. (which I don't but as a consenting adult I could do so)

Great point I love how people have the naive view that condoms are the magical form of prevention from everything, sorry but they aren't.
For example genital warts only require skin to skin contact of the whole gential areas and condoms don't cover the scrotum and anus, so your seemingly "clean" partner, at the time of play, could already have the virus, as the physical signs of the infection, the warts, can take up to 3 months after contracting the virus to appear
Sex with multiple partners, with or with the use of condoms, still leaves you vulnerable to catching something, condoms only reduce the risk
If they wish to play BB it is their choice, and if you want to play safe, you just don't meet them it's that simple, I've just turned someone down for that very reason this morning

All I am aging is we would never just meet someone and have sex without condoms. Ok you say you can still catch things with a condom, true point, but by far a lot safer than letting a/several guys fuck you without a condom.

I'm sure the people who play unprotected know the risks so having some random people on a website pointing out the obv will make no difference at all to the way they do things and so the cycle continues, until the next thread where the same people take offence to the fact someone chooses to do something they don't agree with.
Anyway, in off to the pro smoking forums to air my discust with their choice to do something that is obv killing them!

I asked the question originally as I was told by a 50yr old female it's ok I don't use condoms as I've had a hysterectomy so can't get pregnant ( needless to say we did not meet )
New to the forum didn't realise it's been posted before and would piss people off and get such a reaction maybe I'm too nice so I apologise again .

I think everyone is aware of the risks, unless they live under a rock, the point being people will take the risks as they see fit.
