We had a meet last night with a single woman. It turned out her husband arrived at our place and hubby answered the door in hisdressing gown. He was shouting for his wife and forced his way passed the hubby.
The upshot is the hubby was beaten up by this guy and is in hospital. I am just bsck from the hospital and they want to keep him in for another night with a head injuy. I am sitting in tears at the state of our living room and so angry because it all happened because a married woman told us she was single.
So that is us now finished meeting single women as well as single men, just couples from now.

You have bought it on yourself letting someone come to your home
This is precisely why we don't meet at our home
I do have sympathy though as this sort of behaviour is not acceptable and get cctv on your home front and back

Best wishes to you both.
I doubt there is a club with in 150 miles of your location so not really an option. We have non swinging friends in Conon and I know Brahan so know the area.
Your best bet would be a hotel.
Hopefully you have reported the profile to Admin? And the police??
Get well soon.

You of course then have to publicly admit to everyone in your town her husband was shagging this guys wife which will have most people going "well he got what was coming to him didn't he messing around with someone else's wife".
And not exactly help things in your day to day life. |

Totally disagree. The OP did not bring assault on themselves, they ended up in the middle of a nasty situation that was neither of their own doing or as a result of their behaviour.

What an appalling thing to say! Are swingers such a low form of life, devoid of moral value, that they can be beaten up and almost killed and can say nothing?
Seriously, who thinks they had it coming to them?
Who thinks the husband was right to go to someone elses' house and beat up another human being? |

First off truly awful thing to happen. Hope hubby recovers physically and you both mentally.
Second this does sound like some sort of set up as he knew the address to go too.
Home, hotel, club it doesn't matter. Violence is always possible. As always give due diligence to any meet.
To the other forumites replying do not think for a minute this is restricted to jealous hubbies. It has happened to a friend of mine. He arranged a meet with another chap. He ended up running off after getting a slap or two off a couple of unsavoury types. He was lucky it was not worse. Was a few years ago and not via fab but still a valid point. |

If true, then I offer my sympathies as others have done. Unlawful entry, assault (and by sounds of it, criminal damage to your house) are all crimes so I'm sure the Police will have the guy arrested asap and hopefully punished accordingly.
I am surprised he knew where your house was and knew that his wife was definitely in the house (unless her car was in the driveway of course) - she obviously wasn't very discreet with the details?
I hope hubby gets better soon - I'm sure you'll be back on hospital with him soon and I'm sure he'll be cheered to hear the good wishes from everyone on the forum coming his way!
Take care both of you and I hope things look up soon!

From the sounds of it he is guilty of forced entry and grievous bodily harm with intent. The penalty could be imprisonment for life. You have a social duty to ensure that this thug is removed from society so he can do no more harm. His wife fucking another man in no way mitigates his actions. "
Would depend if he's got previous or not plus it would probably be a section 20 (up to 5 years) not section 18 which would get the life sentence. Life sentences are rarely given for gbh especially in this case where I don't believe a weapon was used? Crimes of passion are tricky in court though, not as clear cut as regular assault charges. Either way it should definitely be reported. |

There are people on the scene who are in a relationship but play single.
I personally won't meet, although we've met in the past. Because of this.
I myself am a lump, and I wouldn't like to find myself hurting a jealous boyfriend / husband, all because there partner decided to play away.
Don't know you guys, but hope the old man recovers soon, and hold a little 'back on the horse party' |

Just an update. The police were back round and basically said names would not appear if he plead guilty. If not there is no guarantee. They said they could push for a private hearing but cant assure us it would happen. They are going to speak to the procurator fiscal and will get back to us. |

"We had a meet last night with a single woman.

Dreadful, a worst nightmare. That's one reason I seek to avoid meeting anyone attached, I hope he recovers quickly. x
If we had known she was attached there is no way we would have met her. She had stressed that she was single"
It's not your fault at all, it's hers. What did she say while this was going on? How did he know she was there anyway? |

I don't see the relevance in letting someone into their home surely you are not so naive as to think you can't get assaulted in a hotel or in someone else's house. |

My first thought was he must have followed her but someone pointed out he could have checked her messages which I think is more likely as he seemed to know what she was upto |

What was her reaction when this all kicked off? |

Although the physical outcome of this situation is horrific, i feel that the woman is as much, if not more to blame than the husband.
Stating single when actually married.
Not just married but obviously married to a jealous violent man.
She brought all of this trouble to your door.
as much as i agree that he shouldnt get away with this i would tend to think very carefully and level headedly before making any decision.
Dont end up being a victim. No matter what you do, do it because its the best thing to do for you two.

As this is a police matter it is best kept off the forum now.
Although you say it was the husband who assaulted hubby I would still report the profile too |
