Have done it to my ex. It really stings and burns, but after it's out then it doesn't keep burning for long, which makes it more controllable than something like Deep Heat. Lots of crying and struggling at the time, wanted it again later.
Top tip - follow it with an ice pop (ideally still in wrapper for less mess) for burning and then cold. |

Only if the piece of ginger is sealed in a baggie or wrapped tight with clingfilm for 3-4 days to ferment it a bit - don't worry about discoloration or small mould spots, thats normal.
Best to try it with a regular bit of ginger first, for a newbie lol..
