I am looking for some advice from women/ couples who have first hand experience please:
I'm in the process of thinking about getting implants. I've an appointment booked with a surgeon for next week.
My partner and I are seriously thinking about the benefits versus the negatives.
Can anyone share their personal positives versus negatives to help us discuss please?
I'm happy to hear all points of view but would ideally like to come from this who have gone through something similar.
And please play nice,
Kx |

I don't have implants however I have naturally big boobs. What I can tell you is I
Suffer from
Back aches and men talking to my chest no matter how baggy tops are. Also having to buy tops bigger then I should have to.
You have to think if you want to go through a surgery with I'm guessing a recovery period. |

Be happy with what you have. It's bad enough when you have to have them after suffering from cancer let alone willingly going through a procedure like that. |

I have implants and don't suffer from backache from them. Also about having to buy bigger tops. I'm still wearing the size 6 tops I was wearing before getting them done.
Having implants was the best decision I ever made. So I'd go for it if you want them done. My recovery was really quick and I didn't find any of it particularly painful, more uncomfortable. |

They said not to lift anything heavy for 2 weeks but I was basically back to normal after a week max. You can barely notice my scars. They are tiny and were done so neatly. Who are you looking at getting yours done with? x |

My sister has implants that look pretty good, and she is very happy with them.
She did a lot of research and spoke to several different surgeons before deciding which one to go for.
Make sure that they tell you everything about the procedure, possible problems and after care.
It is essential you speak to the surgeon wherever possible or at least a qualified medical professional. If you feel you are speaking to a sales person avoid the place at all costs. Remember this is a medical procedure and any doctor can set up in this field. A certificate that says you are actually good at it is not required.
My sister has had no problems with them as she was careful who she chose and followed the aftercare instructions to the letter. She had hers done over 15 years ago.
Whatever you do, be absolutely positive this is what YOU want.
Personally I think it is a shame people feel the need for any plastic surgery unless it is as a result of illness or an accident BUT it is your body to do with as you wish.

I was recommended my surgeon as he'd done the implants of 2 women my husband knows. But I still researched him a lot online before getting them done. But I'm happy with them. Ive had them 2 years this month. They are very squishy and bouncy which people are always surprised about x |

Best thing I've ever done for myself. No regrets whatsoever. If you do go for it, do your research on your surgeon first and follow all advice post op. Good luck. HHx |

I have implants and it's the best decision I ever made. Love my breasts now and my body. I had a quick recovery. No pain just uncomfortable in the beginning.
I think u should do it if u thinking about having it done.
I have no problems with any back ache or anything else.
Be sure to do ur homework and choose a good clinic and surgery.
Always have in mind that there is a small risk for complications but the percentage is very small 0.5%
Good luck and all the best. U are going to love them x |

We heard stories about have to get implants changed every 10 years or so, is that true. See at least one post saying implants were done 15 years ago.
What's the real deal with this. Blondie wants this done but has no desire to have repeated operations every 10 years. |

I was told that implants these days can last a lifetime. I was told to get breast scans every few years to check for any leaks. They do give you a 10 year guarantee on them. So if they rupture in that 10 years they'll replace them. |

My advise is stick with what you've got.
I much prefer the feel of natural even if they are small. False's just don't feel nice, imagine a bollock in its bag only bigger! |

I'm not going to name names, but people trying to talk the OP out of it or flatly telling her not to do it should be ashamed of themselves - completely out of order to tell someone else what to do without providing a balanced, reasoned response.
My two cents, for what's it's worth, is to think long and hard about it. If it's ultimately something you want then research the hell out of it and even give yourself a little breathing space before booking the procedure.
You might also want to think about your likely financial position further down the line and whether you're happy to pay extra for work that you might need 10/20/30 years down the line.
You might be able to stump for the thousands they cost now, but will you be happy to do the same further down the line? |

I don't really agree that they don't feel nice, but to be honest I think implants are about much more than that.
I've slept with people who are so conscious of their boobs that they didn't want them out and to be honest, it wasn't a comfortable experience for me personally.
On the other hand I've met women who only recently had them done, confidence was through the roof and the sex was absolutely amazing.
How they feel is important, but no where near as important as how it makes them feel about themselves |

I absolutely not agree that a woman make an implant breast. Every woman is very beautiful even with small tits. Naturally just your body is perfect. And after making any surgeon, you can damage your imune sistem of your body. My opinion is: be happy with your body, because every body is beautiful design done by God. Perfect!! |

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as I'm not sure English is your first language, but I'm pretty sure her immune system will be fine |

I went from a generous a, small b cup to a big c, little d in February and its been the best decision I've ever made. I apologise to the advocates of all things natural, but my experience has done wonders for my self confidence, my boyfriend agrees, although he was very against them at first.
I even enjoyed the actual process, but I will say do your research, don't be afraid to spend a little more cuz it's definitely worth it in the long run
Just my two cents xx |

Ive had my boobs done...
I shopped around and seen 5 different surgeons before in made my choice...
You need to be 100% percent confident with your surgeon...
Again go for a size to suit your height and weight, I didnt go very big, and men love my boobs ( when they are lucky enough to see them)....
My look quite natural because I didnt go massive....
Just beaware you can lose sensation, im lucky I only lost sensation in the underside of my boobs ... |

Thank you for your response. I wasn't asking people's opinions on breast implants... Of course there are always going to be some people that feel they need to.
I was asking advice on what I should plan for. I appreciate your support and your advice. You're right.... Finance must be thought about down the line too
Happy swinging

Really? Permanently? How about your nipples?
Is it because of the scars?

Do you want them?
Wasp; there have been a few times I have read what you have posted in other forums...
I like what you say...

More seriously, I'm sure that a surgeon would make sure that you understood the risks to having your breasts enlarged.
I have had a consultation for breast reduction and I found the surgeon I saw absolutely excellent with regards to making sure that I understood the implications of what I was doing.
Perhaps it might be worth booking in an appointment to see someone who is professionally qualified to give advice? |

I know a girl who has lost all sensation in one boob. I luckily didn't lose any. My nipples which were already super sensitive are even more sensitive since I had them done. But possibly losing sensitivity is a chance you have to take if you want them done x |
