Mr R and I regularly have sex when I'm menstruating, and he has been known to go down on me too. It really doesn't bother us at all, the intimacy is more important than any mess (which is rarely as bad as you think it would be).
It's never occurred to me that a meet wouldn't be phased by it, but having read the responses of a lot of the guys here, I would certainly mention it in the future if my period could potentially interfere with a planned meet, rather than just rescheduling.

I've done it on my period, twice. It was ok because it was at the start so not particularly messy. Like you, I'm very horny on it but just recently i carried on taking my pill just so it didn't come. There's an option for you too if you are on the Pill and don't want to take a break.
