"I'm not not starting an argument, nor do I look down on sex workers. But would you ever willingly begin a romantic relationship with one?"
I honestly couldn't answer that I've never met one and I dunno how they'd act if they did get into a relationship. Would they give it up during the relationship? |

I have. He was a straight male escort. He told me all about his work, who his clients were, where he went and for how long. No gory details though. He said they were work, I was because I turned him on. It was just work for him. |

Do you go unemployed every time you start dating someone? |

Considering that this is a swinging website, and for more promiscuous people, I think it would be very judgemental, if I had a an open relationship, I would be happy with someone escorting aslong as they wore condoms.... cause the would be no difference if it was a punter or a random person at pub.

i know a few on here but i do know one that told me if they offer her 25 quid on top of the normal rate she will shag without a condom. That might be a bit worrying but their choice |

"I'm not not starting an argument, nor do I look down on sex workers. But would you ever willingly begin a romantic relationship with one?"
There's an interesting documentary on netflix called "after porn" that gives an insight into the lives of (post) sex workers.
Whilst I (husband) have absolutely no moral problem with sex workers, I think most jobs favour certain types of personality. I think the type of personality sex worker favours is not one that I would personally get on with, but then they wouldn't like me either and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with their personality - it's just not for me. Of course there can be exceptions to the rule bla bla bla |

May I ask, as I'm in a question asking mood, how many escorts/sex workers you know? Just wondering where you get your idea of what a prostitute is like. |

yes and no
somebody who is a sex worker wouldn't bother me so long as it was a side line and they had an everyday job too, i wouldn't want to be with somebody where selling their body was their life you need other things too |

Years ago I slept with a friend of my brother's who was a high class call girl. She lived a bit too far away to have a relationship with but we chatted regularly.
She didn't know that I knew until one day after a few drinks I told her that I didn't have a problem with her profession. Sadly she got really cross that my brother had told me, however, he said I had a right to know. If we were going to start something.
It ended up putting a strain on the friendship and it fizzled out before it got started.
I saw her at my brothers a couple of years later but nothing happened as she was going through some personal stuff which I won't divulge.
Sadly he and her don't speak anymore and so I have lost contact completely.
As for her personality, she was just like you and me. Her being a sex worker didn't have anything bearing on that part of her life. |

Not claiming to be an expert at all but have seen a few documentaries, did a house share with a sex worker for a year when I was a student and had my fair share of conversations with strippers. |

These threads, which seems to reflect a fascination with sex workers, seem to me to be based on an idealised notion of the sex industry in this country. Most people (women) who are prostitutes don't choose to be: they're either trafficked into the country or funding drug addiction. Worth remembering. |

I guess it depends on what you call 'sex workers'. A good few years ago now I was briefly involved with a girl who worked as an 'actress' (lol) in the porn industry. She also occasionally attended sex parties where the girls were paid to provide a 'service'.
I found it very difficult to handle, but, then I have never been in an open relationship or a relationship with a swinging partner either.... |

"I am also very curious as to what personality as escort has, considering everyone is different?"
If you met 10 bankers, 10 nurses, 10 software developers, 10 teachers and 10 sex workers, would you expect any correlations between the personalities of those who did the same job or not? |

right I've got to jump in here
no prostitute is trafficked into the country and forced to have sex
prostitution is selling your body for your own fanatical gain, being forced to sell your body though fear or drug addiction for somebody else's fanatical gain is not prostitution I believe now days it's called modern day slavery these women are victims of abuse and should not be classed as prostitutes

its a bit like asking those in vanilla land if they would every start a romantic relationship with a swinger...
i'm always tempted to say you can't help who you fall for.... we all have a history so yours got you to where you are now, thats not for me to judge...
i have had a relationship with an escort.. it was her that originally got me into swinging... it didn't bother me
when i go into my relationships now, i am honest from the beginning about what i've done.. and leave it up to them to decide if they want to continue it or not... some have, a lot havent |

"The thing is are there any that do it willingly. Most I think are doing it to pay for their drug habit"
I'm a fully qualified nurse I do community nursing I have a well paid job and I don't take drugs
I also work in sex clubs, I honestly do not do it because I need the money though extra money is always nice I do it because I enjoy it, if I stopped working clubs tomorrow my nursing job would still pay my bills and I still wouldn't be on drugs
I'm single and have no pimp so nobody is forcing me I purely do it off my own back because I genuinely enjoy it

As long as they did it because they enjoyed it, and told me all about it when they came home... preferably whilst giving me a hand job! I think it's hot, they are having sex with loads of people (I'm sure there are none on this site guilty of that) and getting paid for something they enjoy (lucky them). |

She has a masters degree and is earning very good money!

I suppose its all down to the non sex worker partner being able to separate mechanical sex from love and or emotion.
Many MF couples on here can make that distinction in so far as having sex with another is _iewed as an enhancement to their physical and emotional relationship.
Mechanical sex is often purveyed on FAB and can be the source of great pleasure so if one partner in a relationship does this for money I don't see a problem. The issues arise when jealousy raises its head? |

I really have no idea, don't know any to answer first hand I only know what like you I read and see on the TV
I would imagine it's hard to run away in a country you don't know when you have no money or anywhere to stay

Depends on how it affected their lifestyle. If it meant they were working funny hours and not free weekends or something then no I wouldn't get involved. I work a 9 to 5 (ish) and it suits me to have a relationship with someone with a similar lifestyle and stable income. So I'd also struggle to have a relationship with a musician or someone who ran nightclubs, because when the hell would I spend time with them?
There is something in the personality thing stated above too. I don't think it's as clear cut as teachers have such and such personality, doctors have another and sex workers have another. But I need to be with someone with the same sort of goals and aspirations as mine and I can't imagine that being someone who chose to make money from sex. Not because I think that it's wrong, I don't, but I just don't think I'd be compatible with them, in the same way I can't see myself being compatible with a circus clown or a lead guitarist in a rock band or a struggling artist. |

I was very careful with my wording. I said certain jobs "favour" certain personalities. I'm talking about "correlations", not absolutes and there are always exceptions to the rule.
If you want to believe that spending 40-ish hours a week in a certain organisational culture, doing certain tasks for a specific pay that enables a specific lifestyle has no impact on how the person behaves when they leave work then you're free to have you own opinion. That opinion does however, fart in the face of modern science though. But so did copernicus so good luck to you |

Lots of companies have psychometric testing as part of their recruitment process for this reason. In the USA Asda / Wal-Mart have been known to reject people who answer 'agree' to the statement "I believe there's a place in every team for an out of the box thinker". It's not that there's a right and wrong answer as such, it's just that if you agree with that statement you are statistically significantly more likely to get frustrated with their culture and leave. |

I worked in amateur porn for 6 years, my photos and DVDs are all over, although I've long since finished it will continue to follow me for the rest of my life. However much I want it I will never be able to have a 'normal' relationship. I did but there are site restrictions and it also feels a bit like misrepresentation showing pics supposedly swinging when they have been taken in a professional capacity. I have plenty I can show in private etc if someone were to ask. |

I've got a couple of female friends who have been sex workers.
One of them was in a relationship for 7 years, but he used to kind of get off on what she did. He also slept with prostitutes himself when they were together, using the same argument that it was just meaningless sex.
Another friend only worked for about 6 months when she was very young, but 15 years later it still affects her. She is always terrified when she gets together with someone, in case they find out what she used to do. She tends to go out with people who treat her like shit but she puts up with it because she doesn't seem to think she's worth any more than that, it's really sad. |
