I find this funny as in vanilla land my cousin is a complete money grabber, when I was younger and met someone the first question she asked was what car did he drive, I used to piss her off and say it was blue, black, red........whatever
I couldn't give a shit lol as long as it gets from A to B |

"Op.. perhaps they saw naming the car as a attempt to show off... And just blamed it on the car.
"
That was my initial thought? Obviously I have no idea how the conversation evolved but did wonder how the make and model of the car got in to it? I would guess that something or other made them change their mind and the car was possibly an excuse?
Anyway, chalk it down to experience and a lucky escape OP - would you really want to meet anyone who is a car snob? Good luck and hope you find a decent replacement meet soon! |

I admit being put off by men whose user name names a car like we're meant to be impressed., bmw and merc seem to be popular...*yawn*
It wouldn't even be a question we'd think to ask someone other than that...you could turn up on the bus as far as we're concerned, as long as you're sorted for getting home again... |

I used to have pics of me with mine on my profile, but i've made them private now - just in case people were thinking that I might be trying to be flash and putting them off.
Incidentally, I don't have the car I have to impress anyone. I have it because I like it. Best car I've ever owned. |

You can do it on a bike
Last year a guy offered to take me to a club and I offered him my addy to pick me up and he replied. " No it will save me bus fare if you meet me at bus station in town"... Yeah right! Lol. |

That's really shallow, for the past 20 odd years, ive had brand new company cars, Mercs, Audis, BM's, I'm now driving an 18 year old merc, bit of a banger. It's never made a difference, if it did, it's not the kind of person I want to put my cock into, rather wank, at least my hands non-judgemental |

No it makes no difference. But I'm probably not interested in meeting someone if their craic is all about what they drive like it's supposed to impress me (not saying that's you OP!) |

What difference does the type of car make to meeting someone ?
I'm in Essex, don't have the stereotypical white stilettos but do have a white car. If that puts you off, too bad lol. Hope you all have a good day x |

I sort of understand where their coming from.Even if I wanted to meet ssomeone who drove an astra, they'd probably be pulled over and have their lights kicked in by the Police as soon as they were within a mile of the town. |

In all honesty I don't see the need to have a pic of your car, house or any other material possessions on either public, friends or private pics!
The whole point of fab, surely, is that it isn't a dating site and is a level playing field where earnings/money isn't a factor in deciding who we meet!
Ergo having a picture of a car in any pics may put people off - as they may feel that you're trying to up your chances unfairly - or they may just think you're a bit of a poseur? xx |

Some of the pictures where i look quite nice in is actually in my car. I'm genuinely happy behind the wheel of my new baby. However, i can't really upload the pictures. Many might be thinking i'm selling myself using the car.

I wouldn't want a man because of the car he drives or is pictured in. |

What the hell does it matter as long as your dick works! You buy cars, homes, clothes etc that YOU like. If someone else is either impressed/unimpressed by what you drive, where you live, how you dress etc then who cares? You're not taking the car to bed.
Sounds to me you got away from someone that wasn't interested in you, more interested in status symbols & material significance. Or, as another poster mentioned, used the car as an excuse to say no (if they thought you were bragging about it). Don't think I've EVER had a convo when arranging a Meet about what my material things I had/didn't have. |

Of course it shouldn't make a difference. Ffs some people are so shallow. Just because you drive an audi doesn't make you a better shag than if you drove a volvo. Well, it probably does actually in the case of volvo drivers!!!!! Lol. Joke....honest. |
