It's bandied about all the time - 10/20/50/100 - even a thousand times more men than women on fab (though that's according to Shag!)
Sooo - if you have a few minutes to spare on your lunch hour could you help me with some research please?
Simply go to search and use the following:
Verified men age 18-99, looking for a woman, within 20 miles of your postcode, and online now!
Then
Verified women age 18-99, looking for a man, within 20 miles of your postcode and online now!
Then we can analyse the data and work out what the figure (roughly) really is - rather than all this conjecture!!
In my area there were 154 men currently online and 15 women - so roughly a 10:1 ratio!
I'd love to hear what you come up with ladies and gents!  |

Seen as a large percentage dont use the forums you wont get a true answer, but its a lot closer than most men cry about when looking for excuses, its around 10-1. |

Probably more than 10:1.
Make sure you are changing the seeking section to men or women when searching!

But the overall ratio seems to be 10:1 generally but less in some areas!!

Let's say that you can guaranteed at least 5% of women online are either scams, prostitutes or actually men.
I'm guessing that's a conservative figure as well. It is probably slightly biased due to the time as (don't kill me for this) there are probably a larger percentage of men at work.
Would be worth doing one on profiles active within the last 2 weeks.
I want more stats dammit! ?? |

Had to reduce it to 5 miles coz men came back with the maximum of 300 at 10 and 20 miles.
22 verified females and 284 verified males between 18 and 99 within 5 miles
1:13 ratio

That's the point I always make to all the men moaning about struggling to get meets.
Go out, be social in the real world and speak to women like normal human beings and you'll find you'll have a much higher chance of getting laid than moaning about it on here!
Failing that go try to actual clubs while keeping your wits about you to avoid the scam artists.

This is possibly not a correct way to harvest the data as it is highly likely that men go online more than women....(because I have male friends who are always online even when at work)...it needs to be ACTUAL members in your area |

I just did it for MK and got 19 women and 121 men without bothering with the veri's. Are you sure you are changing it to look for men looking for women. |

It's interesting seeing the results but it also shows that some people are not from where they say they are I'm over 30 miles from Cardiff yet more than a few showed up 10 miles away from me in Cardiff also you have to take into account hidden profiles I'm guessing that a fair few ladies choose to hide their profiles and also a few men maybe but it was a very high number about 90 guys to 14 women |

5 men to every 1 woman here.
I then looked to see how many women were looking for TV/TS and how many TV/TS were looking for women to find the ratio was 3 to 1. So I was right; you stand a better chance in a frock |

I just checked again to see if there was a daytime/evening difference. 103 men. 11 women. So the ten to one ratio during the day has stayed roughly the same in the evening. Much better ratio than tends to get bandied about the fora. |

Those ratios dont look huge, but imagine a nightclub room or dance floor with those sort of numbers. You can see the problem for some.

Sooo - if you have a few minutes to spare on your lunch hour could you help me with some research please?
Simply go to search and use the following:
Verified men age 18-99, looking for a woman, within 20 miles of your postcode, and online now!
Then
Verified women age 18-99, looking for a man, within 20 miles of your postcode and online now!
Then we can analyse the data and work out what the figure (roughly) really is - rather than all this conjecture!!
In my area there were 154 men currently online and 15 women - so roughly a 10:1 ratio!
I'd love to hear what you come up with ladies and gents!
Ps - if it helps you to count more quickly - each page on the search has 30 fab members on it! X"

The search pages stop at page 10. That's why it says 300+ My male search was 300+ & females at 85.
The 300th male was online 5 hours ago. The 85th female was online over a year ago.

Hi guys!
I did the stats at around 11pm last night - based on 60 results including mine - so though not conclusive it's a fair sample I think?
If people really want to we can do this again at a weekend - when more people aren't working - to see if it throws up different results!
Guys:
The findings were that some areas were only 3 to 4 men to a woman - some 18 guys to a lady - so if you're considering a house move you may want to check the stats in that area first!
And in case you didn't see my findings above - the ratio came out at 10:1 overall! Xx |
