I generally go for bbw, but what defines beauty? Sometimes someone's personality shines way over and above what they look like. Often a good funny profile is what attracts to someone initially.

Often you get beautiful photos with a profile that shows that they are so far up there own arse, I wouldn't want to go anywhere near. But each to their own I say.

Thanks sweetie - but I don't have confidence issues. I'd like to be more toned - not larger! I was a size 16 for a short while about 16 years ago - and it didn't suit me at all! I just looked bloated and ugly! There ARE undoubtedly some gorgeous larger ladies on fab - some I'm lucky enough to call friends! But we don't all suit the same look/size and we shouldn't try! We should all just find the size/weight that makes us feel happiest/healthiest and stick with it. The world would be dull as dishwater if we all looked the same!

Few people maintain the same body type throughout their adult life! There are people on here who've lost a huge amount of weight since joining the site - and no doubt some who've gained weight!

Ergo it is foolish to define yourself - or allow yourself to be defined - by your body type!!

Ah but you make the assumption that someone of a certain size would not do these things? I'm a size 18, but I watch what I eat, I exercise daily ( gym and swimming ) and I have an active job. Unfortunately a syndrome I suffer from coupled with the medication for said syndrome make it incredibly hard for me to lose weight. But I'm fat so I obviously sit on my ass all day eating cake right?

Medication can increase the need for food or lower the metabolism but it doesn't mean you have to keep eating an excess.

If you are watching what you eat then you are happily watching yourself eat way more than you need to maintain a sensible weight.

I'm on medications that cause "excessive weight gain" nhs even sends you on a healthy eating course when you're put on them to help you learn about the issue.

I noticed my weight going up and also the incredible desire for sugar.

worked out coping strategies and I learned how to cook some good healthy meals where as my usual repertoire was very heavy high sugar high fat recipes.

Now I maintain a 16-18% bf range depending on my motivation.

As long as you feel good and the medication is working then what does it matter about size.

I cannot put weight on because of my medication. I would like to but know it's not possible so have got used to liking the body I have
