The obligatory 1 verification

Maybe it's me being cynical but anyone else wary if profiles either have:
A: just joined and have a verification within hours.
Or
B: have the usual 1 verification but been on the site 6 months plus.
I'm not having a go but it just makes me sceptical about them straight away.

I was on here twice before
Met loads of people like I do now
People left me verifications within a few hours of rejoining
Just to prove to those uber cynical that I'm the real deal
Why does a verification need to mean

They might be new, recommended the site by a friend who then verified them. I wouldn't read too much into it. If you think its dodgy then just move on. |

Doesn't mean they've not met loads of people who are veterans on Fab
So they verify

Depends. If we like the rest of their profile and alarm bells aren't going off we tend to hotlist and watch from afar, we may wink/message if all seems hunky dory later down the line. You tend to get a feel for what you consider dodgy profiles around here. |

I'm wary of those profiles that have been verified but don't show any of the veris or their summary. Makes me wonder if it's fake verified ie verified by same user on a different account. |

Well take mine have 1 veri from ages ago, it should be a few more than but I was away from the site for a long time, so I guess the other must have deleted their profile or something. I'm sure it must look odd to some but really doesn't mean a lot. |

Some veris are veri explicit. Not everyone would choose to show such a veri. |

Maybe they chat with some and have just one playmate who they know is safe from STD's, perhaps they are far better and safer with just one, then opening legs and mouth to any passer by with know knowledge of past history |

That's true
I don't show verifications that go on about how good my blow job was or how many times we fucked etc I also don't show verifications where they put my name, there are a few valid reasons why people dont show verifications |

Ah verifications 'tis a problem which people get hung up on. I received a fantastic verification from a lady I met early in my membership who promptly blocked me a day later lol |

I've had several meets now but can't leave a verification because I don't have any.
Funnily enough, some of the people who make the biggest fuss about veris don't give them, despite writing that they won't meet guys without them..

why not try chatting, lots of chatting, then cam to cam and also phone, once you establish friendship you meet, its fairly simple,

 Some on here look way too deeply into veris, in fact, some seem obsessed with them and only want to meet to get them, totally wrong reasons to meet as far as I'm concerned. I prefer to make my own mind up about a person, not go by what a complete stranger has said about them. |

I have met many guys from off here with no verification at all and never had a single one let me down
oddly I have only had two no shows since joining fab in 2008 one was a couple one a singe guy both were verified |

So let me get this straight;
No verifications = fake
Too many verifications = fake
Only one verification = fake.
Prey tell what options does that leave?
Given the amount of time it takes to build the trust and confidence needed to actually meet, one verification in six months isn't unreasonable.
At the end of the day if you don't like the look of a profile, stay the hell away from it.
Everyone runs their profile their way. None of us are contractually obligated to run our profiles to someone else's expectation.
It's of no consequence to anyone else.

I have had the last couple of weeks off on annual leave
As such I've had the time and opportunity to meet people on the spur of the moment, not what I normally do but it worked for me
It has led to me meeting two really lovely guys for socials (ahem) within a few hours of them joining the site
I verified both before their profile was 24 hours old.....believe me they are no fakes |

I've not been offered this, but just wondering why people offer to verify others even if they've not met or cammed. Is it so they feel obliged to meet the person who verified them? |

It doesn't say your fake with only one verification. It was an open question as to does it make you sceptical.
Nothing personal to the people with one veri, just an open question to which I admitted I see it differently after the first few answers. |

It's exactly that. I twnd to meet unverified newbies and nearly all of them have ahiwn messages from women saying they will verify them now and they can meet later. This is why i don't trust the instant veri upon joining that's hidden. |

A friend introduced me to Fab and verified me when I joined. I will talk to someone without a verification or only one from a year ago. If it's all good I will,and have met and verified them. |

I've had a meet with a lovely young lady but neither of us are verified, therefore we cannot verify each other even though we had a lovely evening together. As a chap, this site can be pretty tough with or without verifications, no matter how decent you actually are. |

We have been on site before had a few veris but left and rejoined and only the one veri now does not make us time wasters or people to be be suspicious of as just rejoined again but you will find some who you think are not real it will come down to personal choice who you think are real or not but on a site like this it's take your chances if you hit a good one well done if not don't let it put you off just try again till it works for you |

Personally, I'm much more weary of profiles that have no pic as an avatar and no pics on public or any pics at all
My experience has always been these are more likely to be a fake account, regardless of how many or not veris they have |
