"I've dom'ed a few but struggle to get my head round it - the people I've chatted to suggest it's something innate - but my own thoughts are that, as you say, it's formed over time...
Just curious "
I would imagine it depends on the person. |

Born and made. I think you need to be naturally someone who likes to please, takes comfort in rules and structure and finds it all a bit horny.
Then from there a sub can be formed.
However I don't really know other subs so that may well just be me |

female half is sub and she has always said she had known it was a part of her personality and she was that way inclined, she had always wanted to be able to show that part of her.
Sounds cheesy this but give the sub a freedom to grow and watch them flourish. |

A lot of people switch, not sure what to make of them. When we don't understand something it can be hard to ever understand without experiencing it yourself. |

What don't you understand - perhaps I can try and explain some of it? |

I think it's a blend ....
If a natural submissive is brought up to be a Dom there will be a tenderness there.....
Our environments and and what is socially acceptable controls some of who we naturally are.....yes a BLEND X |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
I'm naturally submissive in meaningful relationships... I meet as an equal via fab and would never sub to someone I met so casually on here as it takes time and trust to develop.
My current lover is also my dominant. Its developed over the time we have spent together. I am submissive in the bedroom to him, and also in some other aspects of our lives together (but we do not live together)
I think it is something innate in my that makes me submissive, but also that develops and blooms in the right supportive relationship |

Thanks.
Not sure what i don't understand really. I don't think about it much but i guess a see people as either liking something sexually or not. I don't like submitting at all so don't get how some dominant people can, although i know it will make sense or else it wouldn't happen. It doesn't bother me not to know, just this topic got me thinking about this. |

I think that's me to a tee. Although I've never ventured down the owned path yet it's something I wouldn't rule out. |

"Some men I've met didn't realise they had a sub side until a few ideas and ehhhmm situations were put their way! "
I think a lot have a sub side
There are certain things I love that most would consider submissive but theres no way I'd ever class myself as sub, I just enjoy certain things, but then I'm not dominant either but I think some of the things I enjoy would be seen as Dom |
