Our age criteria is 19-97 we chose this to show we had thought about it and changed it.
Age for us is explained in our profile, if we find someone sexually attractive thier age doesn't come into it, we have never asked anyone's age when we have chatted to them in clubs and don't see why being on the internet talking to them should be any different.
Some old people are younger than thier years, some young people are older than thier years.
We simply won't let a number put us off and prefer to get to know them better to see if we are compatible regardless of the number.
On the other hand we are totally strict when it comes to our own ages and will not meet anyone unless we are within thier own written age criteria. |

for us i 27 and he 30 we both agree that 20 was young enough for us.we were approched by an 18yr old but felt for us that it was too young but thats our opion as for older ages we dont know lol |

I am 38 almost 39, so tend to meet those 10 years older or younger in general. If a person is mature and lovely at 30 then great but wouldnt meet a man of mif 30s and was an immature pratt.
I met a guy ages ago and was 29 at the time I think(this was a few years ago now) he had a maturity of someone the same age as me but with the body of a younger man. If I could meet more of him I would be very happy. But normally it is soon clear from mesaging them that they are too immature for me. I am sure to someone 15/20 years older than me I would seem immature for them.
I just choose generally about 10 years either side of my age range. But all dependant on chemistry x |

Much prefer my own age group, though i have put 35-55 as my choice.
I just think that anyone im old enough to be the parent of is just too young and whilst i agree that some young people in the 20's age group can come across as quite mature, including comments made on another forum, i am maybe changing the way i think but not sure i would ever go that far  |

Oops i forgot to mention the upper age group, well i would draw the line at someone in the 60's who looked that old and talked that old, ive met a 52 yr old who looked older than his age, and energy wise couldnt cope at all. In saying that, the guy i see regularly, is now 60 and looks much younger and is fit as a fiddle.
Guess it depends on the person not the age but i would still be choosy on age. |

I know what you mean. I tend to prefer men up to 10 years older. At 50 I'm finding men five years older well ...old!! 
Meeting a 37 year old tomorrow, seems exceptional, I hope so. I may start looking to the 30/40 somethings for fun! |

My eyes are wide open, i fail to see what fun i at 49 could have with a 19 or 29 year old, we have absolutely nothing in common. Like i said, its call choice, i prefer the maturity and experience of my own age group so am missing nothing whatsoever in sticking to that. And equally you have the right to choose any age you want |

I agree, when we first started on another site 4 years ago we had a much wider range, but we've found that we're most comfortable with people close to our own age, so we narrowed the age range so we weren't wasting the time of people we would be unlikely to meet. That's not to say there isn't a 30 year old that might have all the qualities we're looking for, but it becomes an arduous job sifting through all the messages from under 40's in order to find them.
Someone also mentioned why would people exclude others who are only 2/3 years outside someones age preference. Well I have 2 reasons, the first one is they haven't read our profile and if they have they think they can circumvent my preferences-CHEEKY!
The second is the minimum/maximum ages already take into account people younger/older than the ideal who might tick the boxes. Ideally I prefer people in their mid 40's, but would meet someone of 40 or 55 if they did tick all those boxes! |

Well if you have an age preference there has to be a cut off at some point, after all someone with a minimum age of 35 might ideally be looking for someone of 40, and receive messages from people who fulfil that preference, so why make compromises if you don't have to?
We don't fit the criteria of lots of people we like the look of, but by being explicit about what they're looking for in their profile we know not to waste our time (or theirs) by contacting them, there are buttons for every buttonhole in this lifestyle! |

As a young man (I'm 22 at the moment) I find myself being very flexible in regards to age.
So the youngest being 19 and the oldest person i'd meet would be someone in their mid 40s, howether a lot of people look after themselves very well so I would be very flexible in that respect, I guess as time goes on i'll change my approach but right now I enjoy older ladies. |

The age on mine is a preferred group but that doesnt mean to say if i chatted to a 34 or even younger and we got on that i wouldnt meet, equally with the other end of the spectrum and i have a 60yr old that definitely rocks my boat, well actually floods the bed |
