Does anyone take Dear Deidre page seriously in the Sun? Particularly those stories about sharing gf or boyfriend with other members of their family.

I used to like the sun but then it came out in colour so I had no reasons for my crayons .

There is no way I will give Murdoch a penny...

The Deirdre page is likely to be a mix of 'sort of real' and written by staffers to pep it up a little.

I, er, have seen it in cafes and lying around...

the Sun is trying to be 'hard edged' after Leveson, but struggling on...

I don't know about that. I reckon the Flintstones and the Rubbles definitely swapped.

Years ago I worked with 2 sisters who would start a crossword on the Monday I think it was called 15 minute or tea break teaser something like that.

In spite of them both doing it at every break by Friday they still hadn't finished it.

It started out rather funny listening to them but shortly turned to incredulity as to how thick they were

I don't read any newspapers and haven't done for years as I find they all have their own agendas, I keep up with current affairs by other means

But whenever threads like this come up it always makes me smile that everyone has a pop at The Sun, when, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it still have by far the biggest circulation?

So someone's reading it

I used to love george and Lynne...dad was a regular sun reader...

Viz did a great parody called george and Linda...

It had four 'squares'...in the first three george is trying to wake 'Linda' up as she is sunbathing in garden...

She wakes up in the fourth square [revealing her topless state..] saying 'what...why...' and he says..... 'because the readers haven't seen your tits yet'.

They drew it just like the original of course.

The dierdrie stuff is all fake...but the picture story about Chantelle in her panties confiding to her best pal Mercedes (also in panties) that Paul might be cheeting...that's real.

Mercedes you thought bubble tells a secret!!!!

Short of taking out a wire service every news source has an agenda or angle.

Central

A lot of these 'problems' are resolved by calling the special premium rate numbers that the paper provides. Got to be more profits from those, than a sleazy rag.

I could understand an adolescent writing in for help - adults, I think they'll be staff written.
