Just read a single female's profile which openly states that she doesn't want to swing (but also that being a swinger isn't necessary for joining the site) - which strikes me as a bit unusual. Not quite sure what the point is but sure someone may be able to explain the logic.

There are plenty of singles on this site and not all of whom are into swinging, though most will meet people who are. |

Some of us use this site as a fuck site.
I'm allowed to look for single guys, i'm allowed to make a profile as a single person. Using both these things it is obvious i am a single looking for other singles (and male couples). |

This site is pretty much the only hook up site that has a forums too, so plenty more socialising on here- and i different type of socialising than an inbox full of filth. |

Your best bet is to try not to apply logic to many of the unusual things you find on fab  |

I don't understand why people use this site if they would not describe themselves as swingers (or in some way ethically non-monogamous). There are plenty of other sites, including Fab Flirts that they could use.
If they are going to keep on using the site, maybe there should be a "swinger" "not a swinger" button people could click and filter from searches |

Fab flirts is pretty much dead, if i look at people in my area. This site is active and i can easily get what i want on here. Like it so much that i've paid to be a member several times over. |

For me it's so much more than a dating site or a sex site! I've had the best sex of my life, certainly- but I've also made loads of very good friends (many of whom are platonic) and have a fantastic social life at the clubs, parties and socials! Even going on holiday with a group of girls I met via fab/swinging this summer! Without fab/swinging I'd be home alone when my ex has the kids - just like I used to be before fab - and I know a lot of other people who've made loads of great friends via fab/swinging too!  |

i think swinging is a state of mind......you dont have to meet to swing, you dont have to open yer legs to have a sexual experience...i like being on this site as there are more 'sexually open minded' guys on here |

Although its primarily a swinging site and still used by alot of swingers, the fact its free and easy to join, and open to anyone means its used by many others aswell, singles looking for singles, cheats etc but it has the tools to help everyone do there thing so why not, its easy enough to search for what your looking for, or put in your profile what you are looking for. |

I'm not a swinger (clearly). However people who are swingers have met me and enjoyed it, so I don't think I'm harming anyone by being here.
There are no sites which I've found which have worked as a place to meet people for sex without it being faceless and seedy. I'm also not comfortable with using sites where men have to pay to message women. I did meet a number of men from pof before the site deleted me for being fake  but to be honest always felt uncomfortable that I was on a site that pretended it was about relationships.
I don't see how 'non swingers' are getting in anyone's way. It's not like the site is full and I'm stopping other swinging couples from joining. |

I can't understand why people are bothered .
I'm not a swinger either but I enjoy the site and don't feel I need to be a swinger to enjoy it. |

And to add to all that, even if you are stuck at home with the kids at least you can just read the forums, ask questions via topics etc. Chat to people via inbox, do all sorts on here.
I was on a dating site, almost ended up in a relationship thinking he wanted NSA *shudders*.
Actually a couple of years ago i was on an alt dating site and found i couldn't chat with anyone unless i paid to do that so i left.
So dating sites aren't for everyone either. |

I've seem profiles like that as well...the sort who state that they are looking for "Mr Right" (actually more often "Romeo" or "Mr Darcy" etc) and that they want love and affection and all the stuff you'd see on Match dot com.
Hey ho though, they are no more for me than a woman who's after women only...and nobody would say "what are they doing here", so if it's OK for them, then the love hunters should be allowed their place as well... |

I think you'd be hard pressed to find many singles on here who could be classed as a swinger or who are really into swinging. It's much easy if you're a couple.
There's a million and one reasons why people use this site. And for some it's nothing to do with finding sex. I think it's obvious fairly quickly if you're a single guy that this is not the best place to be looking for sex! |

If the definition of swinger is swapping partners then all singles are excluded as they don't have partners. If however the definition is having NSA sex with other singles and couples then everyone who meets is a swinger. Its a loose term and who gives a fuck anyway how others use the site  |

But they are not dating and they would argue they should Infact use a swingers site.

its a swinging site, thats what it was started for and continues to be used for, however as with most things it evolves and is used by many others aswell, it gives people the tools to do there thing and there are people looking for all sorts here. |

As many have said... For me it's about sex and actually if you are single apart from having a three or more-some are you technically a swinger anyway?
I like the social side I am a total voyeur at clubs but don't participate as I'm not confident enough but I do like meeting new people.
I won't meet couples because, when I have, it has always felt like I'm a performing seal with too many instructions "do this" "don't do that" no pleasure for me and lots of jealousy...

I think the term swinging has evolved from its original meaning, and is now used as an umbrella term for the sexual liberated
There is no 'one way ' to having fun with others, couples full swapping is just one combination of what can be done
Folks do seem to get their knickers knotted sometimes about these things, I personally love the fact that there is such a diverse range of sexually liberated peeps under one term.

I guess people have different reasons for being on here. It is turning out to be a singles dating site. It does make me laugh when they call their meet friends (im talking single on single) because believe me men would only carry on if they knew they were getting sex every time. I can see it working if you only meet one person but a group? Sorry I just dont buy it.that my view and I don't expect people to agree. Just hope they find the happiness there looking for |
