Can say it's never happened to me!
I meet socially first then arrange another time to meet and play if I wish to take it further.
Have never had a no show in three years of swinging...yet! |

Unfortunately it is the people who don't turn up who spoil it for genuine people.
I am meeting a nice couple from littlehampton on Friday and will hopefully get a verification. That way people can see that I have at least met some people.
It is quite hard as a single guy to get meetings on here.
I would say don't give up but do try clubs, if you do find a club in brighton and it is good let me know

Do people not keep in touch with potential meets prior to meeting them?
I would'nt bother leaving my house unless id spoken to them that day or they had let me know they were on their way |

Apparently not - I always send a message the day of the meet to "nudge" them about the d-day, and then (if an evening meet) at some point during the day to let them know I'm en route, or at worst how my day is panning out time-wise. |

Ahabs - you are a rarity! I think it is only good manners to do that. I haven't had many no shows but I have had a few where i have been cancelled at the last minute after I have messaged them asking if we are still on. That's for drinks btw as I still insist on meeting people for a drink first to see how we get on and that seems to sort the frogs out from the princes. |

Unfortunately there are far too many time wasters. Think half of them just do it for the fun of it which dose not bide well for the genuine people. I would not dream of not turning up, not that I get that many invites. If someone can make the effort to arrange a meet why cant they make the same effort if for some unforseen reason they cannot make it. |

Three times this week we have had a no show, one stayed in contact until 10 mins before the meet and then switched his phone off the other 2 sent messages of apology, seemingly there was a load of peoples relatives involved in accidents this week its par for the course on here the place abounds with dreamers and fantasists and wankers, no wonder genuine single blokes cant get a meeting they are competing with a bunch of timewasters. |

Same here. I don't mind that much if they contact me to cancel, even at short notice. Shit happens, right? But to confirm, text throughout the day and then not show and turn off their phone?! It makes you suspicious, and the next genuine guy misses out, or thinks you are a bunny boiler for checking all the time that he is actually coming!

How do people manage to encounter so many "timewasters?"
There appear to be loads of "genuine" single guys around, so how come so many of you are boycotting them for the "fakes?". Maybe your selection process needs looking at. |

We've had 3 separate cancellations, 1 even when a hotel had been bought. It was the cheek of emailing a few days later to see if we wanted to meet up again? How about go fuck yourself |

Only happened the once to me but cost me money which is worse & we'd been in touch right upto 10 mins before checkin.
Keep in touch on phone/texts best as poss & check out verifications. Everyone can change their mind at any time but no excuse for not saying so!
Get over to some FaB socials & meet genuine people !!! |

I do, they're a person, not a piece of meat! If you make the effort in arranging a meet you can at least show you are looking forward to it! |

I do exactly the same on most occasions. Nothing worse than travelling miles to find out they were timewasters or they had forgot!! Courtesy and good manners |

"Kind of infuriating when you hear things like that, plenty of genuine people who want to meet and the time wasters are ruining it for the others."
I actually dont let them as i know there are plenty of decent single guys on here, and have yet to come across a fake either |
