"just wonder how females feel about sex after pregnancy "
Even a year afterwards we still struggle to find the time or inclination, we're usually too shattered to give sex the attention it deserves
Physically, everything was back to normal within a month though. |

It's very much an individual thing and there is no right or wrong time scale.
Everyone deals with child birth differently and then you of course have the time restraints a small person can put on you as well as exhaustion and mentally feeling in the right place.
I've had 4 children and couldn't wait to get back to business, maybe I should have watched a bit more tele instead |

"I'd heard it was dangerous for the woman to have sex too soon after?
Air bubbles trapped or something??
Or maybe the ex was just trying to put me off...."
That's a new one!!
It totally depends on the person and how they're feeling. Bearing in mind that they've just had a small person come out of there a little bit of sensitivity might go far |

Reminds me of the old one, "Doctor, how soon can we have sex after childbirth? mmm, depends if you're put in the ward or a private room!" |

There's a risk of infection in the first 4-6 weeks, there's a big open wound where the placenta was attached.
You're supposed to wait until after your six week check up with the GO although once the bleeding has stopped you're probably good to go
Ex midwife here lol |

Your cervix is more open after childbirth (because it's been stretched by the baby) and takes about 6 weeks to become as closed as it can be, usually never goes back to pre-baby state. That's also the reason why you're more fertile afterwards.
I'd been told it's because you're more prone to infection but have googled and found air embolisms have caused death in two women, wish i hadn't read it now...http://www.nytimes.com/1998/10/06/science/deaths-linked-to-sex-after-childbirth.html |

Sex after pregnancy, i enjoyed it. Didn't really feel any different for me. Although after my 4th baby we went for it two weeks after and i was nervous because we'd been told to wait 6 weeks but i was desperate for sex, and it felt the same and i enjoyed it.
Everybody is different though, some people are fine to have sex and will do, others will have their own concerns or just shove sex to the back of their mind because they have other priorities.
I do know after my 9th pregnancy i went off sex because i just didn't want to risk getting pregnant at all. Eventually i focused more on oral sex and got well into that, giving and receiving. |

I had my second child 11 months after my first, they were both sections my doctor went mad at me
Apparently its not a good idea to get pregnant 8 weeks after a section |

Must have been a while ago then because current wisdom says as soon as the woman is ready |
