I love beards. I like them as much as I like clean shaven. Scruffy mountain-man beards, sharp edged beards, curly moustached, wizard beards, long Asian beards, dyed beards, greying beards, Santa clause. Don't get me started on the amazing madness of art-beard competitions where they do windmills & stuff |

Then perhaps either you struggle to get past the cat/milk shaving stage or you need help tying your shoelaces if you can't put food in your mouth without getting it everywhere... |

Oddly once you get used to a beard, you don't get food all over it. As to hygiene, I likel brush and clean my beard far more often than most folk wash their hands.
If you can eat without getting food all down your chin, you can do same with a beard. |

It's not the real point to be honest, I just don't feel properly washed and showered to I have shaved to.

Does that make everyone who shaves off all their facial hair sheep too? They are all doing what the Gillette (other razor blades are available) adverts are telling them to do by purchasing their products. I don't see any adverts or marketing telling people to grow their beards...

Which is exactly why it is only a matter of time before they go out of fashion due to razer blade sales dropping. The blade companies only need to get a celebrity who currently has a beard to start shaving again, it suddenly becomes unfashionable to have one, the celebrity will get paid a lot of money for doing this. |

"So what your saying Pierre is that anyone with either facial hair or even a unshaven area down below should have an X painted on the front door. "
Not at all I just dislike the fashion immensely. |

Well I've had one for a couple of months and I'm getting lots of compliments from the ladies. It I'd fashionable at the moment and as far as feeling unclean I'm using more products on my face than I've ever done in the past. |

Beards are here to stay. They've been around long before Gillete. More beards the less polluting shaving creams/foams being put in to our water supplies. Beard is also really good for protecting the skin. Tis a natural protector of the the male face. |

Agree to a large extent! Some suit this fashion - some don't - but every guy in the land seems to have jumped on board with the fashion - just like women did a few years ago when everyone (except me) had iron-straight hair!
I've never understood the compulsion most people have to look exactly like everyone else!! |

I'm clean shaven down below and I've found that I itch more down there when it's growing back than having a beard. Do I grow back my man bush and feel like a leper? |

I see the fashion beard haters and I raise you the delectable Levi Stocke. They just really suit some guys, fashionable or not. And if a guy has sensitive skin and hates shaving then he should grow himself a beard and be proud of his lumbersexuality. |

My OH has already posted to this thread. Now it's my turn.
For a number of years now he has been "allowed " (tee hee) to grow his facial hair. Here are the rules.......
He may grow his beard until it becomes soft and then it may be trimmed to an even length of about 1cm all over. He may trim around his lips because he has such lovely lips it would be a shame not to. He may not shave the beard into a shape.. No goatees or long moustaches etc. If he wants to be kissed (yes please) it must be kept clean. He must ask permission to shave (like in the Navy. Lol).
The benefits are that he looks great with it. He gets kissed more. It feels amazing when he kisses my neck and.... Between my legs. Wow! |

"Are there any women who enjoy the company of a bearded man?
At the end of the day I'd have thought who the beard is attached to is more important than whether they have a beard or not."
Well said fella , I'm bearded , it's clean , trimmed and well groomed |

Maybe we should start hating on all the clean shaven men. No one hated on the metrosexual clean shaven look so why so much the beard. Its obviously started by the men that aren't man enough to grow a beard! |
