reading messages?????

I have a question and I hope someone will help me understand this....

When someone reads your message they don't delete it but there is no reply?

They might be replying later

There are probably 50 other reasons..

Point is, unless someone actually replies there's no point worrying about it. Concentrate on your inbox not your sent messages....

Get used to it, i know someone on here that returned from hiding her profile, she has no profile pics and she got over 30 messages during the night, i think women get so many messages they possibly just quick scan each one, go to social events to get veris, im not saying im an expert but when people ask how can they get meets, this is what others had advised. Good luck.

I'll read a message and think I might reply later, get distracted usually by the forums and then the message gets 'lost' in the inbox. I use the mobile site so it only shows a limited amount of messages on the front page.

We do this often to be honest ... its fast as it can get very busy on here and get way too many messages.

So, will open the messages that seem to have a good opening line (regardless of sex / race)

If it's a good message then will reply ... If not, move to the next.

After a few weeks we will bulk delete and move on.

take forever to delete one by one lol

Also we advertise as a couple seeking single male,s we get so many we can not reply to them all the next day we put a message on in the meet,s and events thanking every one.once you start to reply to a lot of people it,s like ping pong

If it bothers you then as soon as you send a message go into your sent folder and delete it. Then you won't obsess over wether it's been read, deleted etc

This is where the odds will always stack against the single male

A single man will "always" reply as getting a message or a reply is hard work.....

Couples can and quite rightly so selective and will only reply to a message that's fits into what/who there looking for

Single ladies have the upper hand on every corner.....

But I'm still here and loving fab

Why worry about things you have no control over? Delete your sent mail so you don't dwell on it, you'll either get a reply or you won't. Concentrate on your inbox.

I suppose a no reply is a reply. If they are interested they will message you. If no message then no interest. So that's the reply.

i'd not think about it tbh. it's poor management skills on behalf of the recipient.

i've got 148 unread messages, and a few read but not replied to. i always intend to reply to the unread ones, but they've disappeared off my page and i now have 100+ more to go through, it is unlikely i will reply to any of my read messages now, and will mostly delete these unread ones too.

if you message couples usually both people need to read the message before they decide, so could be a bit different here.

I get shit loads of messages most dont read profiles or meet my criterias. Why should I reply if I don't want to meet them?

no, not too picky at all....the majority of messages i receive are from men who have not read my profile so i do not think it is in anyway picky to choose not to reply!

I do this all the time no method behind it at all...i just delete in bulk..if i read and dont reply its not cos im saving it to reply later...if that helps

often just a case of popped on whilst making tea - read messages and not got the time to reply until later - and then you may forget if inundated - we tend to reply and put people in hotlist that we like though - acts as a bit of a filtering tool for us

We were chatting to what was coming across as a nice guy, things were going well until he got the arse that we had read his newest message but not replied.... When it was pointed out to him that we may have not had time to craft a reply that immediate second, his reply was not to busy to tea it though....Guess what he is now blocked and it is his loss

We both use this account but not always when sitting nxt to each other.. So what message one of us reads aint deleted if the other/ both at work ( for example) as its left for both of us to read when we get around to it

so thats why ours are read and not deleted or replied to always straight away

If I've read a message and not replied, it usually means it is sitting there waiting for a bulk delete. I always reply straight away to any that I am interested in...
