So are winks pointless ? I still give em out in the hope that people actually look at them but i dont remember the last time i got one !

I do no9t think they are pointless but some may. I do think for me they are an icebreaker and if I see a profile that gets my attention I tend to send a wink first then a message. It's worked well for me up to now...so carry on winking I say

I agree with this lovely lady, we'll wink people if we like their profile and if they wink back we see it as a good time to message them back. If they don't wink back then we assume they are not interested. We do the same if we get a wink from people if we like we will wink back.

We agree, we tend to look at the winks and if there's any interest we send a message. We have sent a few winks and had some replies back so it definitely works both ways.

Winks have their place - it's a lightweight way of finding out if there is any initial interest.

We're very happy to get winks and always have a little peek at the sender's profile. So you never know, they could work.

I no longer send them myself as it seems that single ladies or couples in Ireland do not respond to them much (I get much better response ratio from my messages).

On the other hand, I like receiving them, as it is a gentle way of letting me know that someone likes my profile and if I find that I am attracted to the lady myself (either a single lady or part of a couple), I respond with a message.
