What's your general opinion of the countless friend requests received per day?
We only add people once we have met them, as in our mind this makes sense friend wise, but does anyone else have any other reasons they would send/accept friend requests? |

I've received one or two random requests but I always refuse. I don't see the point in adding people you don't know. Also I never send friend requests unless I've met them. |

Agree with this entirely - although occasionally we add someone with whom we have been chatting and who seem to be in a similar wavelength. A bit like friends in real life, really |

When we first joined we started accepting, but only if the senders were of interest to us. We soon learnt that the majority add you then you never hear from them.
Of late we have decided to temporarily hide out profile and we have been working through the friends list and deleting most of them, with a few exceptions where we have either chatted online or met them, even if it was just social. |

"Only add people i know well or have met.Leave the rest where they are so people can't keep resending them."
I was deleting mine but realised people just re-sent them now I'm leaving them there. I'm thinking of blocking anyone who send a friend request who I haven't had contact with, as I find it weird and rude tbh! |
