do you come out straight and explain or tell him or her to mind their business.in fact I don't know where to start from lol..
my son and daughter are very inquisitive. that is why very thing relating to fab is kept secret in a passworded folder on my phone.
what is your position on this issue? |

We all have our own laptops so there is no reason for anyone to be on mime
Mines password protected it goes on after 30 seconds of no activity so if i go to make a drink etc and forget to put the lock on it goes on automatically after 30 seconds and keeps nosey eyes out

if its on your own phone then the kids shouldnt get near it
and they shouldnt be going through it anyway
however those that arnt used to tech do need the younger ones help in sorting stuff out on them
if you had said it was on a computer then i would use a password based account on it |

Ours don't use my laptop, but I was showing one something when they were visiting and opened the fab page too that I had forget to close...I just shut it down and nothing was mentioned, but I am sure it was seen. |

Seriously, we are worried if we get busted.
But she has own laptop and ours is locked down tight with passwords and the like.
If she does find out well teach her for snooping.

C'cleaner software appears to do quite a reasonable job at sanitising your pc.
Might also be worth setting up additional ISP settings on the router modem to prevent young ones from accessing adult content on the net. Ok, you'll need to log into your isp each time you wish to use fabs - but that should give you the piece of mind. |

I quite simply told them 
I let them know if I'm away for a night of fun and if I want to accommodate then my son goes to stay with his sister for the night.
They are 23 and 21 though and are both very sorted adults  |

Well we would sit them down and have a chat about being safe sexually and in general, you couldn't frown upon them, I'd rather know my child is safe than them go missing and find out later when the damage is done

Separate browser, locked inside a password protected folder, also containing all pics should stop it, unless they're good at IT.
Otherwise, I'd not explain to my kids, they'd just be told it's private adult stuff. |

I think we'd be open and honest about it. Sex has never been a taboo in our household and our kids are smart enough to know that when Mum and Dad have an early night, they probably ain't sleeping!
They know that we go to a party nights club and sometimes go in "fancy dress" but they haven't yet clocked that it is a swingers venue, but I'm sure they will eventually.
Of course we are discreet, but we wouldn't be ashamed if they found out.  |

My user accounts on all my computers are password protected.
This is largely a security precaution, and is due to my background in IT.
If one of my PC's gets into the wrong hands, I don't want my data compromised.
I also do this to protect the integrity of the Operating system and installed software.
My user accounts are the only ones with Admin privileges.
My kids have their own user accounts on my PC.
This also enables me to set parental controls for web content. |
