Given that the "young" generation are the first to be born and raised in a world where there has always been an internet and instant communication via mobile phones etc....
...Do we think they find it harder to communicate in person than they do in the virtual world?

Very good point... when I started chatting over 10 years ago it was because I was working very odd hours, shift work and did not have time to socialise.
I found that the internet gave me a way of expressing myself and also gave me the confidence to ask a woman out (more and likely because I could not get rejected face to face!)
Then over the years I found the confidence I had built up online, I was able to also take this with me into the 'real world' and ask a woman out face to face.
As for the younger generation what has happened is the way they communicate in person is how they would virtually! Totally mad and at times cannot understand.. lol
There is nothing better than communicating with someone face to face. |

I had to reply to this. I spend a lot of my time online.
To be fair My Master and I have better sex over cam than any man ever gives me in person, its just the way we use what we know about each other. If he is away with work for instance, I would rather have a one to one play on cam than anything else. (however I have a fabulous imagination and I have a good way of recalling exactly how a given feeling feels)
Do I think that the younger generation struggles i real life.??
Yes I think in some ways they do. They interact less in person completely, less on the phone, all in text talk.
We love to ask young guys to come play, and I find that over here they are fine, but if we get to properly chatting they fall apart easy.

LOL mush it can't b dat bad
I can't speak for the whole of my generation, was lucky enough to be born in the naughties, and internet was just commercially emerging and phones were still bricks.
I have always had confidence in speaking face to face since I was young and spent my 'youth' playing out runouts knockdown ginger and such. I can acknowledge the worries for the new generation. So many aspects of life revolve around computers and technology. As with all progress there are advantages and dis-advantages.
I found talking online helped me a lot, the fact you need to word your words in certain Ways to convey your emotions, also could be replicated in normal conversation and helped my vocabulary a lot. All in all I believe it benefited me a lot as through the internet I could also converse with people of so many backgrounds and cultures which was harder when my world revolved around my area and school. Even though both diverse was no match for the capability of the internet. Overall I think it is a double edged sword with the youth, and just another way of natural selection as such. Those with the wit and the will, will benefit from the opportunities of technology where as others it will be there downfall as such. As with all things its the individual person that will make the most of a situation or technology or succumb to lazyness, lack of communication skills and lack of sun. How ever I foresee specsavers getting a lot more clients in the future lol
