here and there, thereabouts

I look at them in passing, but don't often follow them up,and then only if when I read their profile it says that they wink to show interest.

I send them occasionally if am not entirely sure about messaging but tbh If I really like someone's profile I just message.

Bugs rarely looks at them.

I never look at mine, never mind respond to them, same as I don't respond to any fabs I may get.

If someone is interested they would message (if they can get round my filters )

The only time I would notice is if I looked at their profile by coincidence

"Makes me look at a profile yes, if I like it I'll wink back of not I ignore "

And it's as simple as that!

I really don't see why people get so wound up over winks. You're just as likely to ignore a message if you don't like the look of that person's profile.

We take winks, like fabs, as just a way of saying "hey, we think you look nice/interesting" without them having any real desire to become more involved. After all how often do you walk down a street and think "he/she looks good" without the need to pounce on them hoping for a fuck. Fab is no different.

We don't routinely wink others as we didn't want to pester people. Yet we do like others winking us. We would then wink back if we were intetested...

... I suppose we ought to put that on our profile!!

Nothing at all wrong with winks! It's part of the FAB setup and they are there for a reason! A message should follow a "wink back" and then you go from there. Ignoring a wink just because you think your special and therefore we should all message you as opposed to a wink as to show our appreciation at your profile and to break the ice boils our blood!!! But ignoring a wink because you are not interested after looking at the "wink'ees" profile is perfectly fine in our opinion as that is what we do

Maybe if more done this there would be less " whats wrong with me" threads on messages not being answered.

We look at the winks and if we like the sender we send a message saying thanks. It has resulted in some great meets.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

I delete mine without looking, but its clear on my profile that I will... so anyone expecting a message back from a wink or a fab clearly hasn't read it, so its another filter

Is there a way to turn Winks off?

I get so many its a complete turn off.. I much prefer a decent message to a wink that sent to 50 other people ..

Its impossible to reply to so many random winks when a message would be more personal..

When I have winked people back, they often say `thanks for the wink`! so no idea why they even do it !!

Winks a big no

messages a big yes

The thing we don't understand is by deleting your winks you leave yourself open to be "re-winked" by the same people?? If you leave the wink there they can't wink again

We use them as a great way of filtering,

Our profile clearly state we don't accept winks or friend invites therefore if someone winks at us it shows they have not read our profile so we block.

If they cant be bothered to read and understand what we are interested in we assume they are desperate and will meet anyone so not for us

I think the wink system is great, when I message I try to put in as interesting a message as possible and still get ignored. If I wink and don't get a message or wink back I just jog on.

I will also wink people back should they wink us first, if I like the look.
