It's a very subjective thing isn't it?
Not sure if it has to include penetration. There is obviously oral sex and mutual masturbation, which are undoubtedly sexual acts.
Think it depends on the peeps and the situation at the time. What we do know is, is that most of it is good fun, that's the main bit for us.
Something tht'a a bit naughty which leaves a smile on your face xxx |

We go for the Jeremy Kyle outlook -
Sexual Intercourse,
Sexual contact,
Passionately kissed.
Sex on Fab for us is fucking
Oral etc isn't sex it's sexual contact
A snog is kissing.

To me sex itself means penetration. Oral sex is self explanatory. Masturbation etc is a sex act if this makes sense. If I only wanked someone off for example, I would say I performed a sexual act on them but didn't have sex with them. That is my own interpretation though. Mrs x |

I perhaps need to reword it but it's too late now. I wasn't really after the dictionary definition of sex, more is sex always about penetration or can you have a satisfying sexual experience without it |

Sex can mean everything from passionate kissing and fondoing to penetration .
I guess if you said ' i had sex with ... ' it would be interpreted as penetration .
But in the context of swinging we enjoy everything from handjobs to oral to penetrative and each act is sexual . Therefore could be seen as having sex ?

Yes. For me it's whatever the people involved are happy with. Soft swing, just oral, whatever. I'm happy just watching. |

To answer this question; yes you can have a satisfying sexual experience without it.
I would however clarify that by saying that if I was going to a meet where there was no chance of penetration I would expect to be warned it was soft swing only.
Any "conditions" to a meet are normally exchanged before the meet takes place to aviod misunderstandings. |

Sex is genital contact. Not necessarily fucking, but contact with fingers, mouths and toys. We started as soft-swingers and still occasionally play that way with people who don't want full swaps. You can still have nice orgasms and lots of fun without penis & vagina penetration. But when we play soft, we end up by fucking together while the other couple fucks too. That's a big bit of the excitement of a soft session. |

"Sex is genital stimulation."
Yep. Always puzzles me when people talk about sex as if it is a single act. Sex is an umbrella term, covers all types of genital contact, mouths fingers, other genitals. If you are referring to sexual intercourse, that is one act that is covered by the term sex, there are many others
Would you really consider you hadn't had "sex" with someone if you had engaged in mutual masturbation and oral sex to orgasm without intercourse? Nuts |

"Kisses and massage can be sexual and non sexual.
Masturbation can be a non penetrative sex act.
And where the hell does phone sex fit in?" ear penetration |

"sex for me is penetrative with a man, sexual acts are just that... With men or women."
Exactly.
Sexual acts are just that..'acts' - meaning certain parts of foreplay/sex play have been enacted, but actual full sexual intercourse has not taken place.
Women become pregnant through sex aka sexual intercourse, not sex acts such as oral stimulation/kissing/wanking/mutual masturbation etc....
