Pampas Grass

Just found out that a pampas grass in the front garden is a message to fellow swingers that you live there.

Is this still the case before making a tit of myself then having to pretend I'm a jehova witness?

Think this was true in the 70s and 80's. Moved into a house in the early 80's with my parents that had a large pampas grass bush. Can't recall anyone ringing the doorbell with handcuffs in one hand and a dildo in the other!! xx

I do keep meaning to look at a picture of some as I am not sure i even know what it looks like...

I think this story is the same type of thing that people said about buying "Tiger" bread, I shall never be able to go into ASDA's bread dept ever again, allthough the lady who was buying the bread should have calmed down by now!!

It was surposed to be a signal that the person buying the bread was in the scene, but when I approached a lady about it she threw a wobbily and I left the shop in a hurry!!!

I remember a few years ago there was a comedy on TV about middle class swingers who had the pampass grass in the front garden as a secret code to let their neighbours know they were swingers. I'm pretty sure that's where this urban myth originated.

There's an new estate near here where the builders have planted pampas grass in front of every house.

How do they check before they let you buy a house?

I thought it was common knowledge that large bushes were all the rage in the 70s/80s
