brazilian waxing - worth the pain?

Jump to: Newest in thread

(the female part speaking)

I normally shave my pussy but I'm thinking about getting it waxed.

is it very painful?

is it worth the pain?

I do have a few hairs on the inside of my outer lips, do they wax them too? or will I still have to shave these?

Mrs P has a full wax, she has tried a few different people but now only goes to one lady in particular. Some dont like getting right in there and will say you need to shave the last bits but it is possible using hot wax and she does seem to get a lot less ingrowing hairs with this method too.

Find someone reputable and not cheapest you can find

I always get waxed...a Brazilian is 2-3 fingers in width left.. So yes you shave or trim the rest.

Playboy is one finger strip left.

Hollywood is NOTHING

It's over fast so pain is limited ..

I always get a Hollywood - everything off in one go. I have a high pain threshold so I may wince abit but find it all pretty straight forward.

I hate shaving so have always waxed - you don't know until you try x

no matter

I go to a lovely Moroccan lady she uses sugar paste not wax and she gets right in there ..removes any strays all the way through. Quite funny with bum in air if im honest.

Cant lie yes it is painful but if you go every 4 weeks the hair is softer and comes out easier. For me the worst bit is just at top of the clit hair is very strong there :')

Costs me 10/15 for just the undercarriage. best thing is to relax stretch the skin. people are far more sensitive around time of month for any hair removal. Take a couple pain killers before .

go for it

I've had my back, cracking and sack done last year for the first time, the pain did not last to long but the results were good, but I found kneeling on all fours sticking my big arse in the air whilst the beauty therapies put wax over my arse slightly embarrassing.

Had my first wax before Xmas, got a Hollywood. Yes it does hurt a bit and you will wince, but it's not horrendous.

Mine got right in to the top and got the hair there too, that's when two pairs of hands are essential. Since then I've been shaving, but would get it again.

It did take a little longer than I thought though, about an hour

I don't see the point in a Brazilian. Used to have a Hollywood and loved it but hated the re growth in between. So now I epilate myself. Love it even more

Volunteers to try anyone?

How good are epilators? Do they take ages to use?

Depends how much you're enjoying it lol first few times yes because there's lots if hairs but if you use regularly no. Legs are easy, the epilated Hollywood version is a feat of positions but that's fun too

What this lady says! For me the itch of regrowth from shaving is far worse! That drives me crackers for days!! Waxing at least the pain is done in a few mins!

I use to have a hollywood was on a regular basis which was extremely painful in my opinion but it was well worth it in terms how smooth I felt after. Effectively it reveals skin that has never been touched before due to minute hairs that still remain sometimes when you shave, so the skin in that area became very sensitive. Anyway now I just use an electric shaver which gives me a very close shave without the pain. Besides I use to pay between 20-30 pounds due to me being a man. If you can afford it and can withstand the pain then I'd say get it done. Anyways I hope that helps.

Okay well worth it. It is painful the first time. But it grows back less so appointments get quicker and quicker. I just left my appointment this minute and was totally fine! Wouldn't shave again

I have a Hollywood fairly regularly. It's a bit ouchy but it's quick and the results are fantastic. So much smoother than shaving (which I do in between waxes). Go for it, I reckon.

I find the hot wax treatment the best, it's painful but the pain subsides quickly and it leaves a lovely smooth finish.

And the hot wax is kind of a nice pain...

There is no pleasure, there is no pain, it is only sensation and your response to it

I have a Hollywood (everything off) and the waxing is painless. I only have lycon wax it's so much better and pain free. They do everything including inside the lips and also round by your bum. Would highly reccommend.

I use an epilator for legs and underarms. . I can use on my triangle with talc.. but underneath NO WAY. that really hurts. You need to be able to stretch the skin and that is impossible to do alone.Makes me bleed

I do find the pain a pleasant one tho.. leaves legs all tingly .

A full wax is a Hollywood. I have it done about one a month. Way better than shaving every couple of days.

No prickly stubble either.

Each time you wax, it gets easier and the hairs get less.

Take A couple of paracetamol an hour before and just do it.

I love my smooth pussy - and not had any complaints from my hubby - or anyone else.

Do it!

I had a brazillian done a few times, was a bit painful.. The thing I didn't like was that a week or so after it was regrowing.. Just seemed a waste of money

I had my first Hollywood wax just before Christmas and was told because I shaved it would hurt a little and I might still have some uneven re growth and to go back after 4 weeks to have it re done it's so much better takes longer to go back and when it does it's a lot softer.

Go for it once you've done it you'll wonder what all the fuss was about

It might take a few hours to settle. Did they tell you not to shower for today?

After shaving for so many years and having to put up with the horribly annoying shaving rash, I plucked up the courage to go and have a Hollywood, I now get everywhere waxed every 4 weeks and love the feeling afterwards...I honestly can't say it gets any less painful for me personally, above the clit but it's definitely worth it in the long run, if you're really worried about the pain then try using Emla cream, put it on about 20 mins before your wax is due and wipe it off before you go in to the therapy room, it numbs the skin for about 20-30 minutes, I used it above my clit and my underarms for my first wax as a recommendation from a friend...my therapist uses hard wax too which sets on the skin, if a therapist uses strip wax on your intimate area, I'd personally be very worried...The only downside though is the re growth period, if you're anything like me and fancy fucking inbetween waxes but don't like stubble, it can be a pain cos I tend to shave again which is silly as my hairs are definitely getting thinner and lessening and I'm resorting to shaving every time I want to get my bits out! Try and go a few days after a period as beforehand is very sensitive...hope that helps! I think I'm going to try IPL, I've heard good things and getting a machine could possibly stop my stupid inbetween shaves!
