How fast do you have to reply

Had a short message today which i opened,but as it says on our profile we don't reply untill we have both had a chance to read it didn't reply straight away.
Once we had both read the message we went to reply and wait for it....BLOCKED lol.just shows that people don't really read profiles do they. |

We've had that and often preceeded by some kind of rude message such as 'typical of couples you never reply' but interdisperesed with four letter words! |

I had been called "strange" by two separate gents, and were blocked by them both as I told them I was not interested after a handful of unsolicited messages.
For all I know, it could be the same person using different profiles!
Me, strange? Tell me something I don't already know myself!  |

one of lifes little ironies has just occured to me here.
with so many people stating we dont have time to answer all these messages with 'thanks but no thanks' yet have all the time to post in here complaining about it.

You know, I'm one of those people and yet I've sat here for 15 mins doing sod all except deleting messages and posting on the forums.

we try to reply straight away as we dont get loads, and if we send message that doesnt get a reply we just think we dont float their boat. Just as annoying though is thosd who dont read the message properly.x |

As Salsa, I always try to reply straight away, after all, I don't get any of the fancy a quickie ones lol so it's easy for me. How do you go about getting the unsolicited fany a quicke ones ? I would quite like some of them lmao |

am usually polite if we get fancy meeting in 20 mins ones as cant do due to kids and say so. Got a tad sarky with a non message reader the other day though. |

Have sent a number of messages, very rarely get a reply. When I do, it's usually negative, so I write back and wish them well.

We always reply to any messages and we are always polite and in an ideal world would reply straight away,however if only one partner has seen the message or perhaps children have come bursting into the room as your about to reply means you can't always do that lol  |

I've often wondered when a message is showing up as "been read" but you don't get a reply, is it worth waiting a bit and sending a nice follow up? I mean if they weren't interested, it would just have been deleted wouldn't it? Not sure what to make of that half-way-house situation.
What do others think? |

I'd say wait, some don't bother deleting 'till they can delete in bulk. |

I would'nt follow up,some people leave mail for ages and then do a mass delete of all of them

If I get a message and read it but don't delete it then I'm thinking about it. You will always get a reply if its a civil message but perhaps not straight away. The fact I haven't deleted though means its a possibility. Don't take this as gospel though, its just the way I work my mail! |
