I've often had two meets on the same day but these have been social meets: one for lunch the other for dinner. Will be doing the same again on Friday.
Only problem, on occasion I wish the lunch meet was longer and the dinner meet shorter! |

i've had a chap double book him self and leave it down to the first person to respond to his text as to which he met that day.
think everyone's had a share of that kind of bad attitude x

It is only right that when arranging meets you arrange as many as you can for the same evening, then if anyone lets you down you have a back-up plan, if none let you down you just pick the couple/single you like the best and meet them, sod the rest.
Personally I think this kind of attitude to arranging meets stinks but last time the subject was discussed in the forums I got shit off loads of people for having a go at the guy who said he did this regularly so now I am going to go with the popular answer so I don't get attacked |

"When you got a meet planned and another cpl would like to meet you on the same night does this happen to lot of you guys happens to me all the time "
oh yeah i usually get several people want to meet me every night lmao
It is a pain when you get a cpl people asking who you like both of, and i really dont know which you'd rather go for lol |

i'll never understand the idea of a back up plan - if i agree to meet someone i plan on an evening with them. i dont do quickies so why would i have someone else hanging in the wings
i wouldnt hang around waiting for a fone call so why should anyone else in my opinion |

Sod that for a lark, I wouldn't change my view unless I wanted to change it.
I am surprised you were though Jed and I can't remember it......but I have seen a thread where everyone said it was a disgusting thing to do.

there are lots of people on here that will cancel if they get a 'better offer' i've had a few guys do it to me
i personally would never do this, if i agree to meet someone i meet them because i like them and want to meet them, the idea of a better offer just seems bizarre to me, why agree to meet someone your not that bothered about? |

I don't understand "back up plans" either! As I've said I've had two social meets on one day, but if I've arranged a play meet it wouldn't cross my mind to have A N Other waiting in the wings...just in case. |

I know what you mean. I have had a few who cancelled at the last minute because a 'new' offer came to the table and they thought I'd be OK to arrange something else as we'd already met before...... Yeah I arranged something else with them alright.... I arranged never to fecking meet them again!
When the shoe is on the other foot, if I have arranged something and a 'new' offer comes along, regardless of how much of a buzz the 'new' one will be, it get's put to a later date in the diary.
If someone starts with "it's now or never" they can go fuck their uncle. |

I wouldn't cancel a firm meet because of another offer. But there are grey areas, e.g.
1. Person is interested in meeting but wants to wait until last minute to confirm, other offer comes which is more definite and give you an address and time to meet.
2. (This is a tricky one) you have arranged a meet with and someone new and then someone you have met before wants to meet.
probably depends how genuine you judge the first offer to be, but personally I have loyalty and respect for people I've met before and wouldn't want to let them down either.
Fortunately it's not very likely to happen. |

It's not tricky at all, you're not free that night/evening/day... end of. You are not letting the person you met before down, as you haven't got anything arranged with them - it was an enquiry - you're not free! |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |

I don't think that's tricky either. Is this mythical couple so keen that they'd want to monopolise your time in such a disrespectful way? |

i find it hard to digest a single bloke getting pissed around especially if cpls or single fems go to a lot of trouble to pick the right one |

Not tricky either.
I had this happen to me the other week - me being the one who said I wanted to check him out socially first before getting down and dirty. Prior to me reminding him it was a social only meet he was so keen to know if I was free on the friday, where to meet, what time, what he was gonna do for me and so on... then it suddenly went to "OK I just need to check a few things first to make sure I am free"
Simple solution....... I told him to feck off!
People can be so short sighted.
You make plans you stick to plans.... not bump people down for better offers. |
