Has anybody ever been blocked by somebody else here that you have never even looked at, never mind contacted?
We have history on so any links we click come up a different colour, but we've noticed a few times now while browsing profiles and new pics that profiles block you...even though we have never looked/messaged before?
Is this common? It's not even local people, one was from USA? C x |

"I tend to block people that live too near to me from looking at the local updates."
It's rare but we have done it, we might read a profile and
a) not like the sound of it or the person who has written it.
b) clearly not be suited to what they are looking for or vice versa.
We also occasionally block people if we read their posts in the forum and there is something that offends us.
not that I'm suggesting for a minute that any of those would apply to you guys |

Exactly the same.....big block list here
Mostly as a result of profiles....it's just a filter to avoid further contact/time wasting on all sides |

Ditto, but usually only those with regular status updates advertising the perils, dramas and joys in their life, in the style of Facebook |

I've blocked people that I or my partner have past with who we don't want to see our couples profile. But I don't really block anyone unless they deserve it. I try not to judge a book by its cover |

I've found that I've accidentally blocked people. From time to time in the chat room the user list 'jumps' and if it happens as you click on a name to see the profile it can happen. It can also happen when on a phone or tablet with clumsy fingers.
I like to think that when I come a across a profile that has blocked me this is what's happened as I've never done anything to warrant it (in my opinion I know). |

If your active in the forums some people block you for posting things they didn't like. Don't know why because it doesn't stop them seeing anything else in the forums you post but their logic seems to dictate that you may try to message them at some point. |

If we come across a profile where the cpl or single state 'white British only' or some such shit we block. |

This!
Plus people who leave and then come back a week (or in many cases a day!) later under a different name with the same old pics.
Some seem to think people have short memories.

I've blocked people that have said things in the forum that I don't like, bit pointless really but feel it's sort of a way of saying I think you're a wanker!
When on cam I'm guilty of blocking a few people that are viewing my cam I'll then leave the room and re-enter so they can't view my cam. |

I often block people who appear on my local news feed with constant statuses like 'I need my balls emptying' or 'I want a pussy to abuse'! I don't want my news feed being filled up with people who I do not ever want contact with, even without reading their profile |

I have a fairly long block list it seems, but it seems to work to filter out the people who don't fit what you're after or you don't fit them either..
They're obviously all very nice people in their own right, but if they want something completely different to me it's sometimes easier to just remove them from the results completely.
I'm sure that I feature on many block lists..
Bizarrely, I was recently sent a friend request, responded and accepted and then was promptly blocked 24 hours later...
Very strange... |

yes, there are some who pro-actively block - and fair play to them, they have obviously decided they have no interest for whatever reason, so they are doing you both a favour in the long run |

Again.....this attitude that blocking is some sort of punishment "unless they deserve it". Blocking saves so much time, mine and theirs. If I would never be interested in someone for whatever reason I block them, then there are no accidental messages, time saved. I don't do it because they have been naughty |

As long as you use protection they you are no more at risk from them than from someone who's history you don't know at all |
