Men in uniform?
Jump to: Newest in thread
A friend of mine met an acting extra who was on FAB as a vicar (pics to prove it) I met him at a party and he admitted that he was an actor. He;d been on previously as a soldier and got replies to 2-5 messages a day, then he had a profile as a fireman and he got 5-10 responses a day, then he tried the vicar profile and he was fighting the ladies off...they wanted it in the graveyard, leaning against the font, in the vestry...really made me laugh! |

"Not really... In fact usually I think isn't that against some sort of rule when men post pics like that, and I hope they don't get found out? C x"
They could be in trouble if they don't cover up things that might identify them (name badges) or their unit (cap badges or brigade flashes etc) or their Corps (tactical recognition flashes). |

Which is why I don't think it's worth it. It's the same as any other guy under it al anyway, but to lose such a great career over this isn't really worth it to me...? But then I'm a teacher, so I dunno... But I never pose with my books and chalk board! C x |

"Do military men in uniform do it for many women and if so why? "
Yes please.
I've known a few forces guys (army n navy) and they tend to be more confident, naughtier sense of humour, fairly fit and nothing phases them. And they are more up for a laugh and less serious than your average guy. And the uniform makes them hot, but really I don't need to see it for it to have an effect.
I can't get enough. Yum!

You should, or with a ruler slapping it against your hand looking over your glasses, (shit I'm thinking out loud now) |

Tommy is Paratrooper, and your right it's not so much about the uniform, it's about the mannerisms, the confidence, the life experience and the way he holds himself, (but I do miss the uniform a little)

"Always found squaddies such as myself are more disliked due to confidence etc??"
You sure you are happy showing your face pic and a full length one of you in uniform on FAB? Don't mean to be funny.. but you need to take care. If you are recognised, could that be a problem for you? |

I have worked for 2 different emergency services and still am working for 1 of them.
I wear uniform and have to say my first uniform got more interest.
It is the reason I can't bandy my pics around on here.
In fact note to self. I need to put this on my profile as potential contacts can become quite abusive when they can't see me without friend in me.

Why would it be a problem? This website is no different than any other dating site. People are her to socialise, meet up and have fun. There are no rules against it |

I suppose it could be seen as showing the unit/brigade etc in a bad light. |

Love a man in uniform or sharply suited & booted! It's the presentation and fantasy as much as lingerie for a guy, I imagine.
And if their profession makes them more fit, confident and well mannered, then that's a fab bonus! |

My concern wasn't a moral one or anything to do with breaking rules. I was concerned about his security issue for the young man involved. I think the military need to be careful where their photos appear in this day and age. Its sad I know but there are some evil people out there. I say this from knowing so many military people who tell me it wouldn't be wise to put pics in full military uniform on sites like this where they could be recognised as they would get into a lot of trouble with their unit. So it wasn't a judgement about rules or not believing he is entitled to fun. Of course he is! I love a man in uniform but I just feel he would be wiser to send photos PM or not make himself recognisable in the public pics. I just wouldn't want him to put his personal security at risk so I was merely suggesting it might not be a wise move especially in light of recent events. People are sometimes a little naive on here as there are certain professions where you could get into a lot of trouble and the military is one of them. All I am saying to the young man is, have fun. Enjoy yourself. But don't take risks with your safety and professional life. He will know there are some oddballs out there who dont like British soldiers and may decide to play a nasty trick. Its s horrid world as we have seen only recently.
So yes I LOVE a man in uniform but be careful!! That's all. Its meant kindly. |

The military, police and fire service used to have pretty strict discipline regulations under which there were a couple of 'catch all' offences such as 'bringing the service into disrepute' etc..
nowadays whilst most internal discipline procedure apply to the ACAS code, with some were a complaint made and a person was wearing the 'corporate logo' of the employer in a picture they would investigate..

That certainly would be the case for me. I would lose my job as well as my career! It isn't worth the risk. But for the military, the risks are more critical. I am a huge fan of our military and I want them to do everything to keep themselves safe where possible. I note the young man is only 20yrs old so he is perhaps a little gullible? |

And there are other professions besides those you mention where this ruling is alive and well. It might not seem fair to some but some of us have codes of conduct..... if we don't adhere to them and we are found out, the consequences can be severe. |
