After reading an article on Chris renalds Gordon (c4 sex party secrets) who competed for GB in athletics. And on hearing a blog where apparently an England cricket player attended a killing kittens event the question is are there many athletes who swing or is it a rareity?

Well that's 2, so I'd say rare. There's a difference of course between swinging and singles fucking each other at competitions, which isn't so rare. But that's just young fit people fucking!

No i did not mean that lol what i meant there portrayed by the media in certain way and when someone does something potentially scandalous then the press are all over it but then yet again i should think it depends in the sport.

I recall Jessica Ennis telling people that so many condoms are used at the Olympics because of all the bed hopping.

Yeah I remember that story as well. Got me excited thinking about all those fit people shagging!

I think there's a difference between a small group of elite sports people who would be wary of involvement in swinging because of the possible adverse press attention; and a much much larger group of athletes (current/ex) who are out of the public gaze and for whom having adventurous sex lifes is less of an issue.

My closest experience of this is shagging a lovely woman in a threesome who 'swam at county level'. She was very fit indeed....

There's probably a super secret swinging scene for athletes only, the likes of you (especially you) and me will never know.

I'm an ex professional sportsman, was for 18 years. I retired in 2009 at 34. I'm far from famous and know there are other professional from my particular sport on fab although I have to add this does not mean we are high profile or newsworthy, only probably in the counties of the various teams we represented.

I used to be a regular at Chameleons about 10 years ago. I still visit when I can.

While I was a regular, there was one ex Scottish footballer and one ex Birmingham City footballer who attended from time to time. Not international names....but both ex professionals.

I'd suspect the number of active athletes that swing would be relatively low. This is just because most swinging parties etc tend to take place at weekends, which is when most sports events are, so those evenings are already packed with driving around the country, prepping or cleaning equipment, getting early nights beforehand and recovering after, and post-event socials with team mates etc
