We`re about to go on holiday for a month (Costa del Sol), and we are discussing if we should pack a selection of "toys" into one of the suitcases.
Is it allowed?
Is it advised?
Or should we just buy some when we get there? |

As long as you don't try and put them in your carry through bag you should be ok ... otherwise they'll likely pull you aside and go through all your stuff ... waving your dildos and vibrators about for all to see ...

Take them, buy the batteries when you get there (don't recommend anything that looks more like a weapon keep to the fluffy BUNNY look)
Friends of mine going through customs, the official said "excuse me something is vibrating in your bag" - "oh" she replies red faced, sorry I was sure I had took the batteries out, "perhaps you did" he said, this seems to be a mobile phone on vibrate |

"id buy some out when your out there, i would die if i had to open my suitcase and vibrators were in there "
Vibrators will only kill you if they get lodged in your throat |

A few years back I was asked to open my case as security had seen something on dray with wires attached! Was amusing more than embarassing, especially when the woman held the business end and asked me to turn it on to prove what it was, her eyes certainly lit up! |

"Just be warned they do show up when scanned "
In hand luggage they would, yes. In a suitcase for the hold, however, it'll not be visually scanned but instead passed through various metal and chemical detectors... and maybe put in front of a dog's nose for him to sniff.
Unless there's something else dodgy in your suitcase then there's no reason why the detectors should flag them as requiring investigation. And I don't think sniffer dogs would know what a dildo is used for. |

We once had a rather intresting situation in Greece. Our cases were due to be dropped off at our appartment so rather than wait we went for a drink in the bar. As we sat chatting to the others staying in the appartments, husband from the couple next door came into the bar, where he announce that our cases had been delivered but one of them was "BUZZING". much giggling all round. so make sure the batts are out. |
