We are thinking of going to a Torture Party event for the first time & wondered if anyone can advise on costumes.
Basically we are concerned about how much flesh on display is allowed. Mrs J is planning on wearing a chain bra which leaves her nipples on display & a similar micro mini which she would prefer to wear without knickers leaving her pussy pretty much visible as well.
Thigh length pvc boots & a huge black feathered venetian mask & dog collar completes the look.
If anyone can comment on whether the nudity element would be acceptable we would be appreciative. |

I went to t.g when it came up to Manchester and had to borrow a friend's clothes as I didn't want to buy stuff just for one night....
If I got away with a latex mini dress and heels (i mean, look at me!) Then your planned outfits should be just dandy!  |

Wear what you like, there's no dress code other than 'no street clothes'. It's a fetish event, albeit a diluted tourist party these days.
Have look at the website photos for inspiration. Much better than simply asking on here. |

That sounds like it might work then. Having had a look at the photos on the TG website Mrs J's outfit is rather bland in comparison.
On the other hand with her huge feathered mask & thigh boots she will stand at over 6'6". A nearly naked woman being that height being led around in a collar & chain should get some attention
At the moment however I have absolutely no idea what I am going to wear! |

I have been to Torture Garden and they promote creativity. it doesn't necessary mean nudity, though if the outfit shows flesh then it would be ok. Just being topless or short skirt is not exactly anything out of the ordinary, the weirder the better.
Even though it is a fetish event, I would say it was all about image rather than sex.
I dressed in Regency period style when I went. My face was powdered white, my cheeks rosy, tiny rosebud lips and pink bouffant hair. My breasts were exposed in my dress, though the bodice of the dress made them look like huge stuck on melons, I looked like some kind of regency period blow up doll - but it worked and I had lots of comments  |

Went to one in Brixton a few years back..
Some guys were wandering around in what looked like shoes, school trousers and no shirts..

For those who have never been, let me qualify some of the 'there's no sex' comments - it depends!
The smaller events through the summer are posers discos,but hey they are still a good night out! The bigger events, depends on the venue and the size of the couple's room - we were at the Not New Year party and were each tapped on the shoulder by the couples on either side of us to play.
It's less obvious in the open areas, but people find the like minded; just remember that the majority don't identify as swingers - though that doesn't necessarily mean they never play |

I think we will go with the planned outfit for Mrs J since the nudity part does not seem to be an issue.
I was thinking of wearing my tux with a venetian mask but will give it some thought. Certainly with a 6' plus virtually naked blond beside me I feel nobody will particularly notice what I am wearing anyway |

I also went to a big London event for the Valentine Ball and I did not see any penetrative sex within the main areas, I attended the Coronet and has various themed areas. There were also small rooms for light BDSM activities but many people were sitting around in these rooms or having a try of the equipment amongst friends rather than serious BDSM play.
There was a couples room and there was a lot of kissing with oral sex being the most extreme going on. I have seen far more at any swinging club than here.
That being said it isn't a swinging club and whilst it is advertised as a fetish club it seemed rather tame compared to stories I've heard of other fetish clubs. I went for the sheer theatrical experience, the different acts etc and I loved it. Its not all about sex all the time and it certainly appeals to a younger alternative crowd. Having done a little bit of research on TG events we are not really expecting a totally depraved orgy with lots of indiscriminate public fucking going on. It would be nice.
I think you are right in suggesting we simply aim to enjoy the theatricality of the evening. We will dress up, enjoy some exhibitionist fun but for anything more we will be aiming to meet up there with someone from fab. |
