I had one ot the worst headaches ever over christmas ! Just after climaxing ... apparently its called orgasmic thunderclap lol . Has anyone experianced anything similar ?

Yes, I have had these. Affects my neck really badly.

I have had 2 major episodes with separate partners. The problem I find is that my partner doesn't know what to do.

Only thing that works for me is a sofa, a darkened room and a bucket...

Yes MrH has had a few of these, got to a point where he would stop short of orgasm to try prevent them! He has not had one in a while now though.
