Just seeking views on this.

I run my own business providing development and property consultancy. I wondered if having a PA that flirts (and more) with potential clients at initial meetings would work. You know, stuff like serving coffee in a gaping blouse with no bra and a short skirt. Having said that, I don't want time wasters arranging meetings for a free shag! More a case of choose me over the competition, get this and more to follow. With the PA getting a very nice slice of commission of course.

I already know a few ladies who'd probably enjoy this, and of course id welcome volunteers, as long as they can pass themselves as a PA! Also anyone seeking land and development advice, you'd get first class advice and an out of this world bonus!

Has anyone tried anything like this?

Just, erm, wow.

SO you want some woman to volunteer to be your PA, flash her body to help your business, and think this will help your business develop and look professional?

What about women and men not interested in T&A in work time?

If this is serious (and I wonder if we are doing a disservice here this was simply posted in the wrong forum and should be in stories and fantasies) I would never seek advice on such an important matter from anyone who was less than professional and offering me sex with my coffee doesn't come under that heading.

Why would any serious professional want to do business with someone who thinks they are dumb enough to be swayed on an important decision because someone who is paid to flash their tits and smile at them does so?

As a non-business fantasy, it's fine, but as a serious business proposition it's insane. Never mix business with pleasure, and you'd soon find yourself getting a poor rep amongst your clients if you ever were to try it.

Just offer a proper professional service, and if you're good enough then your business will grow on its merits - hiring someone to be a floozy suggests you're worried that you're not good enough at your business to be a success.

If you're insanely good at what you do, then you don't need a PA to flash a tit at potential clients.

If this is for real.......you best make sure she's a few slices short otherwise you'll find within no time, she ll be running her own business with all your clientele.

Great managers employee people of higher calibre....dreamers surround themselves with low calibre as not to feel threatened...

. If your potential customers were foolish enough to be swayed by how a lady dresses , might you not find that they were subsequently time wasters . Best not to mix businness with pleasure . If you are knowledgeable and have good presentation skills and a verifiable track history , the tactics which you suggest are totally unnecessary . In any event , I assume that this post is a wind up.

Though the guy in question did have a reputation as a sexual Olympiad, he bonked his way through an entire organisation. Guess things were different then, the Terry Thomas approach was the way to go

I'm curious as to why you asked opinions as if you were seriously considering this approach, then amended it to a suggestion from a friend to help you with the overseas market and now its so that you can prove to your sadly mistaken friend that its a bad idea

No, this was what someone gave me as sincere and genuine advice, the guy thought he was helping me, so that's how I put it down. It would make his day if I'd got any positive response to this. I didn't exactly live in hope, but hey ho, if you can't post it on here, where can you

If your asking if sex sells...we all know the answer (ignore the morality/pc crowd here as you know know you'll get a preach reply from some)

If your asking whether it's right for you to adopt this approach - does it matter if all parties are happy in the set up. Your hardly coercing anyone.

yea but it isn't actually a business idea that the op is interested in, they are just telling us about advice a 70 year old man has given them to break into the foreign market.

To give some context, what this was all about was a mutual acquaintance who did pull off a blinding deal with some foreign clients, and yes he always took his secretary including lots of overseas jollys, and yes she used to brag about her "contribution" to the deal. So I suppose it is a serious question, in as much as could you pull a stunt like that in this day and age?

A friend of mine who works in a large company had a female friend ask him to put a word in for a job as a PA. He spoke to a colleague who said get her to send in a CV. She did and got no response. My friend asked if she had attached a photo, which she hadn't. She resubmitted her application with attached photo and got a job. Within 2 weeks she had been asked to go on business trips with the boss. Apparently that's normal in that company

Undoubtedly. I'm pretty sure it goes on a lot. However if I as a woman wanted advice and walked into an office where the pa male or female was dressed like an extra from a porn film I'd go elsewhere. It's possible that you would lose as many if not more clients than you would gain.

For the record and at the risk of being call moral and pc I think it's a terrible way to do business.

Says it all if you think you need a woman to tease clients to get a business deal. Maybe if you are struggling (I say if, as nothing suggests you are and you might be doing well for yourself) review your offering - likely to impact more than some woman dressed trampy. End if day business is business - not looking at someone's cleve - mad men was 50 years ago. Making more money vs looking at cleve in a meeting - I think I know what's most natural to someone in it to make money.

This was about 91 when I was fresh out of college, and was a notorious cause of gossip. The lady in question even got the head of personnel to send a round Robin asking if any lady's would like to attend some of these private soirees. I swear to god this sort of thing did go on.

I've worked in business environments since 1976 and can honestly say that I have never seen women used as.bait like this....not to say it didn't go on of course. As a buyer I was frequently given samples and gifts at Christmas bit never once did an oiled up chippendale get delivered to my desk to encourage me to put business someone's way ....I feel cheated
