One does. We don't talk about it now though as I think I just embarrassed her in the end. But I felt for my safety I needed to tell someone. In hindsight I was selfish telling her, I just couldn't think of anyone else. |

Us too. None of our friends know about fab or about any aspect of our sex life, we don't know about theirs either, they don't know how much we earn or what money we have invested or many other if the intimate details of our life.
It isn't about hiding its about choosing what you reveal to people about your personal life and what you're comfortable sharing. |

If I was single I would tell them I think it's more difficult as a couple. Pauls best friend knows. We almost told my friend but I didn't want it to effect things they also don't know I'm bi, I've always been open with partners but never friends I would worry that they would think when were doing innocent things that I'm thinking of it as a sexual way. Ie I cuddle my friends etc |

Most of my friends know, some of my work colleagues know (one is also on here but he's gay so no clash of interest  )

my friends do know that im on swinging sites they also know why im on them as well
even a customer that im on the job at the moment as they came with the comment i heard from a mate about them keys in a bowl subject
i know i got dropped in it by the workers as the question was directed at me so i explained little details that need to be known got asked if they could go with me sorry you need to be a member
then got pulled out by a grinning lady saying ive heard about you and what you do

I've told two of my friends now that we swing. Told one I dress. Told about six that I'm bi. Told my mother im bi a couple of weeks ago.

A couple of my friends do back home where I came from. But I don't usually volunteer the information to them unless they deliberately ask a sex question geared to that nature.
Usually I only let slip here when I'm playing "never have I ever" with uni mates,and their responses are alway funny as hell. Totally surprised and incredulous, considering that going by my looks I don't exactly look that laddish, while I just shrug my shoulders and give a cheeky grin. :p

Just like on here some people are discrete with regards playmates, outside of Fab some of us are also discrete with loved ones.

This is one I have pondered over for some time, nearly told a few mates a few d*unken times but never crossed the line.
I'm a pretty reserved guy outside of fab so I think most would be shocked and I don't fancy the endless questions! Although I would hazard a guess that a few are on here already! |

Yeah, a good deal of mine know I swing, I've introduced some of them to it.
Many are actually quite intrigued once you explain it's not a bunch of car keys in a bowl and that it's very similar to a night out in the pub, with a few potential added benefits..... |

Yep....most of them anyway. A fair chunk of family. Work and my previous work...up to board level.
I don't go ramming it down people's throats, but if people ask or half guess then I'm open about it. Why wouldn't I be? |

Most of my friends and a few work colleagues know...several of my friends want to join me at a club when I have my 50th in a coupla years...the security service also know as I've just redone my clearance forms and put it down in the interests of full disclosure - they need to know if there's anything that could make you vulnerable to bribery but I've said if anyone tried that they'd get short shrift from me |

Some do and some have no issues with it though there are others who frown in it but that's their choice. We wouldn't make them play but can see both sides of the issues people have. |

Life is interesting! I ran into a swing buddy (we've played more than 10x) in town and she breezed past like all my 6ft2 frame did not exist. This happened 3 consecutive times and then the penny dropped. This is an under cover operation. No friends here are real. As long as it is dark and there is some fucking involved, happy days!!

My besties know & we have a good laugh about it at times. Ive also told my Mum as she's like my bestie and she's cool with it. They are more worried for my safety than what I get up to to be honest. Other people in my vicinity know but I couldn't give a toss what they think & don't look for their acceptance. Its my life & I don't judge theirs, DDD x |

We have friends that know, a lot of his friends know, and most are also on here, as single males and Cpls, plus a few of my friends are aware and ask lots of questions, and ofcourse we have made friends through the site that are clearly aware, some still members and some now left.
If the subject came up with our more vanilla friends I'd have no problems telling them, I hope that they wouldn't judge us on our choices just as we wouldn't never judge them on theirs! |

I have a few friends know I swing and four of my adult. Kids none are critical of me as they know why I do and none have lost respect for me to them I'm the mum they have always had. |

There's at least 1 of gingers friends that knows not that we swing but that she's available and a few of my friends might know due to an ex of mine but never said anything about it and that's kinda the way want it to stay as not everyone is as openminded as we are here on fab |

Rubbish......the line between my vanilla friends and friends off here is very blurred....fab friends have met vanilla friends and its not an issue....
Some of my best friends I met on here...folk I don't even play with any more because stuff has moved on remain good friends so I think it depends...I don't pigeonhole my friends seperately and it shows in my life and I couldn't be more gratefull for it. |

Not as a reference because I've never worked for anyone off here before but my good friend nita2 offf here did my c.v and has helped me with various other bits and pieces like that....why? Because she's my friend.....its what mates do..... |

Best times are had swinging with friends as far as we are concerned. No need to waste time arranging meets just go out for an evening with friends and if mood takes we all have fun at the end. Much better than we feel. And yes they are friends we have and we have a laugh and don't always end up playing. |

I have been tempted to tell certain friends and so has my partner, we are not ashamed of our lifestyle. I have quite a few friends that don't know I am Bi, wasn't comfortable with my sexuality until recently. I worry some of the lads would be worried I might fancy them and they might think my partner is easy. I would hate for that to happen. |

Yes two if my good mates old used to be on here and there is a woman who knows me on here aswell lol she said my name then blocked me instantly I was a bit gutted as I wouldn't talk her buisness but I guess she thought it might be to close to home? |

A couple of my close friends know but only because I was in a relationship for a while with someone I met on here before. Trying to keep up with the lie over how we met just got tiring so it was easier to tell the truth. Like a few have said already, if they are worth having as friends it shouldnt matter.
Also when I was on similar sites with my exwife she told a few of her friends.
But then we also had the unfortunate episode of someone she works with finding our profile and showing it to the whole of her office. |

We have been asked by a few close friends and have replied honestly.
They know we are naturists and that's not a secret and they were cool about the idea of us being swingers but you could sense that their opinions of us changed, whether good or bad we are not too sure,or bothered, it's our marriage and life and we intend to enjoy ourselves. |

Yes friends know but that's how we live our life not there's so have no problem we will answer questions if they ask us but. We never tell them out of the blue. Its our lives not there's as long as we are happy that's what matters |

I've come close but found (as mentioned earlier) that such a lifestyle is misunderstood and I feel I'd be explaining my reasons for being here which you'd only understand if you was a fabs member. Also, Fabs is not a massive part of my life so telling non-members would give the impression that it is. |

Football/college no they don't know and I like to keep it that way
Uni some do but doesn't get mentioned that often, as they are all cool

A few friends know. One couple because we ended up in a soft swap after a d*unken night out. One of my best mates knows too. I suspect most that know us well have probably guessed. One of my work colleagues suspects and I'm pretty sure him and his wife have swung in the past. Having worked with him for 14 years there are little comments that we've both picked up on. I'm pretty open and wouldn't lie to a true friend if asked. But I don't volunteer information either.
