too many fakes...solutions please

have been on here for, well, a number of years....
The biggest problem of all is fake profiles... After that, its out of date ( not logged in for 6 months ) profiles..
Perhaps a way of sorting the honest profiles is to introduce a "must verify with a week" to become a member rule ?
Any profiles not logged within 6 months are auto placed into the "member has hidden profile" box...
Im not sure how this would all work, just think it would be a great idea, or a start at least.

The auto hide after 6 months is definitely a sensible idea.
Delete if mot verified within a week? It would get rid of 99% of single male profiles if the number of "can't get a meet" posts are anything to go by.
Personally it wouldn't have affected me, as I had no problem getting meets, and would leave ratios looking much better etc. but rather harsh....and if there were not so many "extra" men here...then a lot of the ladies would leave and a spiral of decline would see rapid closure of the site.
Not sure you have thought through the consequences of such a drastic move. |

I've only had contact with one couple from the Nottingham area who agreed to meet me, then on the day of the meet went quiet. I won't meet any couple from that area now in case it's them under a different guise. |

No it isn't a good idea, took me more than a week to meet someone and the single guys who are genuine would lose out by those who aren't and there'd be more single women then men  |

It took me 11 months before I had my first social/meet,
Ooh my 1 year anniversary in 3 weeks I should celebrate it 
Even though it says I have been on here for over a year I only joined in January  |

There isn't a solution .. in this game there will always be fakes and dreamers but there never has been and never will be a way to stop it. The solution is to listen to your gut instinct ... eventually you can spot a fake or a dreamer from a mile away - not always, but most times |

Definitely no. How would hiding profiles when not logged in for a period help?
We were on here for a while before we got a meet, maybe some just want to talk and socialise.
Verifications are useful, but but not perfect - we always check out who the veris are from too.
We haven't had loads of meets, but never yet entered into arrangements with a fake.
Most fakes are pretty easy to spot and fairly easily ed out. Phone calls, web cam etc, or not being able to comply with simple, reasonable requests. |

It would never work, verified with in a week you would end up with men just coming back on new accounts every week.
Many people like to take sometime in choosing who to play with but this would cause a knee jerk reaction and people just meeting for meeting sake, hardly sounds like fun to me.

Maybe we should tell single men this isn't an easy shag site but a site for people that like to swing , saying that this is coming from a couple that haven't had a verified meet in over a year . |

I don't want to verify my account properly, mainly because I can deny its me if Im ever confronted by someone I know (paranoid much). I do prove that I'm actually real tho

To find solutions, we need to define a fake.
male pretending to be female or vice versa
Computer generated profile.
Remember there are many with multiple profiles, some use them as traps, someone saying one thing to one profile but another thing to the other...
I think a potential search featurfeature could be last logged on. Don't show those not logged on in the last 6 months, just as you can hide, age range, new etc |

Erm...that IS a search feature  Those last on line will show up on the first few pages and any further back than that will have those that haven't logged on for a while. The number of pages will all depend on how many members in your area. |

So many fakes recently. Best one was a "couple" I'd been talking to a few days. They ask if I want to meet that night at theirs - I say great! Can I have a face pic?

I think that would be the quickest way to exponentially increase the number of fakes.
Someone who wants to create a fake profile is also someone who will create multiple fake profiles, then they can verify one profile from the other within the week, while someone genuine will come on here, take a look around reach out to a few people and may take months to actually meet.
So the genuine get removed while the fakes proliferate... |

No matter what solutions are put in place, the truly determined person will always find a way to fake an account/profile.
We've yet to come into contact with a faker/timewaster so far so it begs the question, what are others doing so differently that they're getting so many? |

If this rule had been in place I, just like many others, probably wouldn't have bothered to join the site at all. I have no interest in camming for veries, wanted to understand the site better before I'd have considered getting photo verified (which in the end I've decided not to bother with as I think meets veries are worth more) and there's no way I'd have wanted the pressure of having to meet a stranger within a week of discovering what, for me at the time, was a whole new world! If that means I'm not genuine then I'll get my coat  |

They chat and looking for meets, but want you to provide everything, at a time of their choosing, so they just turn up and you had better be grateful that they are doing you a favour.
or false couples (FB etc who swing as a couple), so hard to pin them down as they both need to agree the meet and agree a time they are both free.
Then we have the fake couples, where she is taking a break, but he can still swing, but not at theirs, same as fake single profile really.
You can tell I have been around a fair few years 
How do you sort it out....looking at the profile, how long, do they post in the forums (you can see what they say), asking good questions (why can't you accommodate), and do they sound a bit too good to be true (make huge promises)... |

Why are FB couples false ? False in what way ? I had a couples profile with my FB on here and it worked very well, had lots of quality meets.

I still wouldn't do it though and to be fair, I don't see how doing that makes me any more reliable than if I dont do it. Or am I missing something?

I have chatted to 'fakes' many times. But I don't arrange to meet them. |
