So your arranging a small party, you know not everyome you invite will be available, and not all who say they will attend will actually turn up. How do you make sure your not left with an empty house or an unmanagablr number of guests? |

You just hope for the best. We had a small party earlier this year. We chatted to the other couples on the phone and also let them know who else we'd invited so they could chat to each other. It worked out well as everyone turned up, everyone got on and it was a great night |

We were wondering the same. Thinking about doing a party but have no real experience. Guessing we need (and have) trusted friends who will be able to enjoy themselves and the say... will go with the flow. But the guest list will be people we know and trust. |

Can vary so much but as a rule of thumb I always invite 3 couples for every two I expect to turn up. Things happen in real life....even people you have met before and known a while may not make it.
Worst case scenario....I wanted 12 couples for a decent busy party....I invited 18 couples....well 36 people.
They all turned up plus another 4..... Was a good evening tho! |
