I'm not gonna be attractive to everyone obviously, but i don't let them make me feel ugly. I have a very nice smile and it's genuine and that makes me beautiful.
:P
I noticed most people who are considered attractive are very fake, covered in make up, unnatural skin, and tbh i think that's weird that our standard of beauty is being unreal and kind of confirms to me the idea that we're living in the matrix because the reality that should be perceived as normal, natural and beautiful is destroyed all the time, from people to the environment. |

Make up no make up nice clothes shit clothes what shines through for me is a warm heart and personality.
Ill get mushy here. Few years ago i met the most amazing man ever, would greet me every morning with morning beautiful, hed call with hello beautiful, i was like gold to him. Iv never felt as loved or special in my life. Im a plain jane nothing special. He passed away in April leaving me and our kids but i will never forget those words and no insult will over ride. |

Noone else has the power to make me feel ugly any more. I spent most of my life feeling like the ugly duckling and allowing people to treat me as such.
Now, I'm under no illusions of being some beauty show stunner, but I'm a genuine, nice person, and have been told I am pretty... but what matters more than anyone elses words is that I actually accept and like myself as I am now. |

No one has made me feel ugly but I get dismissed on my very essence, my personality and all my issues which I feel is worse. You can change your physical appearance but harder to stop being bonkers. |

Someone can only make someone else feel ugly if they already feel like that about themselves.
Self confidence, humour, intelligence etc is a lot more powerful and sexy in my opinion than just looks alone. Plastic people become very boring and transparent quickly.

I know my body is far from perfect and seeing well toned and perfect ones does make me a little sad.. But then i realise my face and dazzling personality make up for it more than enough.. :p |

People don't have to be "perfect" - whatever that is - and well toned to be attractive and sexy. A nice smile, dazzling eyes and a sexy attitude are all very attractive |

People don't have to be "perfect" - whatever that is - and well toned to be attractive and sexy. A nice smile, dazzling eyes and a sexy attitude are all very attractive "

The only people who are really ugly are those who are ugly on the inside. Judging by your experiences a few of those have made their way onto Fab. Don't let them break your spirit.
We have our preferences for looks and body type, as most people do, but we have learned not to broadcast them as we have met and had a great time with some that fall well outside our "preferences", simply because of their personalities. |

I have to agree on the club meets thing. 99% of our meets are in clubs, because we can actually chat face to face, share a drink, have a laugh and see what we are all really like. On here it's very easy to fake anything. Sadly it's far too easy for a guy to pretend to be the girl, or for a guy to just create a fake profile and waste people's time C x |

Ignore all the up their own arses pretty people as they are generally fake or not that intellectual. I have meet so few great looking people who are good looking on the outside and the inside.
Most of us real people on here want the whole package to play with, not just a great body and face but a keen mind and rapier wit.

Yes my ex made me feel ugly and unattractive.....but I found out that I allowed that to happen. Nobody should be allowed to make you feel that way! Or we shouldn't allow ourselves to feel that way. But self esteem and self confindence are influenced by outside factors I'm afraid. I'm happy in my own skin now and dont need approval from others about how I look. But being on fab has helped me to feel good about myself. I hope that other ladies find that as well! |

One man used to as he'd constantly make fun of me, the things I said, the questions I asked, the way I looked, especially in front of others. It drained every ounce of confidence I ever had. Although that was two relationships and many years ago, it's still there in the back of my mind and comes to the surface sometimes. |

My daughter is beautiful but sometimes she feels ugly but not usually because of others. At school the other week she said some younger girls walked past her and her friends and called them sluts. She just turned around and asked if they had looked in the mirror recently.
I've brought her up to believe that people can only make you feel bad about yourself if you let them and that generally others insult based on their own insecurities.

Unbelievable why people feel the need to tell others what they don't like about them. We are all different and like different things. Doesn't mean that we should criticise what we don't find attractive.

No other people do not make me feel ugly. I know I'm a big girl, I know I'm getting on a bit, but I also know that I have an ok face, I have clear skin, I'm happy with how my face looks. What I think is what matters.
Ever since my mid teens I've always had s rather quirky dress sense and I've painted my face etc. I've never been a conventional dresser. People have laughed at me in the street and in clubs, I'm used to stares, I love it and thrive on it.
If people on here find the time to message to make derogatory remarks then you must have affected them in some way, you've provoked a reaction |
