I have been talking to a guy who seemed really nice and he suggested we meet for coffee. Says he is treating fab like a dating site.... I said i dont ever want a relationship and fab gives me what i need without the bull... His reply was for me to take care. Do people seriously use fab to find love and monogamy? |

I wouldn't use it to find monogamy, as thats not what I am looking for... but if I found someone I really liked on here, then I'd possibly be open to it developing into something more than just a fab meet. |

Indeed they are not. Met my best friend on here. We do go out meals/cinema/theatre etc. Spend many weekends away in her caravan. And we do have sex.
Lots of people think we are bf and gf....which we are not.
We do not, however, swing together. We have our own profiles on here and keep this separate. We do discuss our meets lol. She has even arranged to meet people at my place if her daughter is home.
There are all kinds of "arrangements" on here....each to their own! |

I understand its NOT a dating site, I've met a few for one nighters. Ive also had 5 month relationships off here and pof. Ive had more success off the latter both in the bedroom and dating. Most I've spoke to on here have been fakers or ego polishers, probably because of there's far more men than single women or couples  |

Lol i left pof because most of the men are on here too and are straght about wanting only sex. Couldnt abide thw lies about wanting more when id seen their profiles on here. With a dating site you meet with the view to more and are prepared for what happens. On here i like uncomplicated, decent sex with a lot of laughs and good company, if thats what happens we meet again and again.. I dont want undying declarations of love after 3 meets so its all ruined... Personally i think if you join here with the aim of finding the love of your life then you best prepare yourself for heartbreak. |

pretty sure some people are doing this yeah.
i think one thing that needs pointing out is a lot of guys (and women) use sex as a way of stopping them feeling lonely. men are more likely to be ignored on this site, due to their being too many of them, and this might make them seek out something that will make them less lonely.
some guys also treat relationships as time passes, to stop them being bored, and although these aren't what i'd consider a relationship some guys would, possibly some women too? idk exactly what goes on in everyone's head but can get an idea sometimes. |

Fair play to the bloke, he was up front and honest like most people ask others to be. Everyone is different and if he thinks it might be a way of meeting someone, fair play!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if people have found love on here. I feel it would be safe to say, many 'fabers' look for people who they'll connect with before the sex, therefore this site becomes an dating site with added benefits.
The gentleman in conversation had a need, it didn't match the needs of the OP and therefore they didn't meet. I'd say this is a very conventional dating formula and one of many. -Mr. |

I wouldnt go to a site like this to find love, because at the end of the day love is t about sex to me, it's about everything else. Does sex come into it? Yes! Of course!! But I wouldn't date somebody just because they were supposed to be good in bed! I date people based on their personality.
The person I'm with right now? Neither of us did this before we met each other. I had a threesome before but he didn't, and I suggested it to him, but we didn't know where to look. This whole swinging lifestyle came around from that really. Threesome was the original "goal" if you will but we surpassed that long ago! Far surpassed
That person will be my husband in two weeks time as we are getting married 
So no I wouldn't ever think about this site as a dating site, as it's just not what I would look for in a partner! C x |

One of the previous posters mentioned some singles come on here to stave off loneliness -
Given part of my current situation I'd say it's at least partly accurate - I'm not able to have a serious relationship and so Fab meets some of my needs.
Also on PoF but for slightly different reasons. Not looking for sex on there. |

Sorry wasn't clear on what I meant - purely on PoF to meet new people to socialise with believe it or not -
After breaking up, and working towards a new career I've ended up in a strange middle ground where I have no social circle left - they've all got kids and settled but not yet in my new area so not meeting anyone new...got to build it from scratch somehow. |

Yes they do, in the past I've lost a couple of friends because I didn't want a relationship (all very amiably I must add) and I've come across profiles that state they want more. Good luck if that makes them happy. Not for me though. |
