Following on from my admission that I'd go to a coffee meet and drink tea.
Tea drinkers of Fab unite and enjoy the greatest thing to come from the British Empire, the good old cuppa tea. |

"Loose leaf Darjeeling for me, going to upgrade from my cheaper end variety to try a Margeret Hope 2nd flush strain.
Or is that too much information?"
Whittards do a lovely loose Darjeeling with a hint of vanilla |

I blend 50/50 Assam and Earl Grey. Brewed very strong, teaspoon of honey, and a little milk. All done in a metal cup, that is double walled to keep it hot. The tannin stains in the cup make it look like the inside of an ancient teapot, but it adds depth to the flavour.
Coffee just gives me the shits. |

Nooooooo
Milk ruins tea
Your 50/50 blend sounds goid to me but lemon instead of milk I'm sure would make it even better |

Milk doesn't ruin tea at all. It ruins Chinese tea. Indian and African teas are strong enough to take milk. And I don't care for lemon in tea, far too poncey. They brew their tea in India, using milk instead of hot water. |

"Tea is great but it has to be made in a pot to be good. "
Agreed, tea bag in mug doesn't quite cut it as a freshly brewed in pot.
Cant beat a good cup of tea, it's the first thing I always do when I get home from work to make a nice cuppa. |

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
A nice earl grey, made in a warmed tea pot! No milk, no sugar. Lemon can be added but not hugely fussed.
But then I hate milk, so even regular tea is drank black.
But I am partial to a coffee too - less messy to make in the office as no bag to worry about! |

Which in my opinion ruins the tea.
Normal tea like pg is ok with a splash but not any other tea |

Tea is like a trick.
I have made Twingins breakfast tea @ 40 for a deal of £2.00.
Against Tescos own brand.
40 for a deal of 20p.
Yes 20p.
Try it on someone at work/home and see if they can spot the difference.
If you cant see whats being made but told what it is, you'll believe it.

A good cup of tea can come from a tea bag with milk.
It's the taste you know.
The beauty is the variation of tastes that can come from a tea bag, some milk and some sugar.
I normally drink tea without sugar, but when I'm freezing cold outside there's nothing better than hot sweet tea. |

I've decided to cut down on coffi so I'll be drinking more tea from now on. Very weak black tea for me though. No milk or sugar. Just on case anyone has the kettle on |
