Anyone on the forums got the balls to admit they prefer to bareback? I'll start. It is my preference and know of quite a few profiles that list 'safe' sex as an 'interest' who will, in reality, bareback. So, who will admit to enjoying and preferring the same?

I admit I've enjoyed it in the past with my ex husband and a partner but would never go bareback with anyone I meet for casual sex.

So you go 'safe' and don't go to the GUM clinic?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Of course I prefer it. Condoms make willies smell and taste horrible. But for the last two years I have insisted on men wearing them and all seems to be well at the quarterly GUM visit so far.

We play safe, never bareback with casual partners. And as mentioned by a previous poster, we will still make visits to the GUM clinic.

So how come countries that got on the condom wagon early (like the UK) have a much lower incidence of HIV than countries where condom usage is not as widespread?

As stated quite clearly in my profile, no condom - no penetration but yes, of course, I don't know anyone who wouldn't say that they prefer bareback with a long-term partner.

Why not? I don't meet often. I get checked. Meet only a select number, take my time getting to know them and am selective who I meet. I'm also less likely to catch it, protected or not, as a man, than those who engage in oral sex (often to completion), so am at low risk compared with most. So, coming back to the original question, who's prepared to admit the same?

If I was to meet a new partner, I'd wait long enough to make sure it was going somewhere and then as soon as we'd both been tested clear.

I have in the past, I think most people didn't use condoms all the time when they were young, I know i didn't because I wasn't really awear of the risk facts when I was a teenager, I've only ever been in one relationship in my life and we never used condoms even the first time we had sex, however I'm older and more awear now and I always use them with men I meet off here and at clubs, men can't talk me round now days like they could when i was 18

In the seventies when we became sexually active bare back was the norm if the woman was on the pill. The word condom was only used in the occasional article and no one gave it a second thought so people of our vintage will mostly say yes, we have had bare back sex in our lifetime however not recently.

I'm not disputing the fact that it doesn't give 100% protection but to say they give 0% protection is misleading and a dangerous statement to make as it may lead people into thinking why bother.

I will admit in my younger days late teens early twenties didn't wear condoms, but since then other than my ex wife or my current partner always safer sex since we've been swinging get tested every 3 months for everything. For us it's about risk reduction and being responsible of course it feels better without but we would prefer to reduce our risk

No there is less risk with oral. A risk i am willing to take. Obviously I don't floss my teeth and wouldn't have oral if I had any cuts in my mouth. I think the number of people who would use a condom for oral is very very low. I'd rather do without. People need to bear in mind that condoms were not and never have been safety approved for group sex situations.

Off course they help but the risks increase with each additional person.

But all this has been said before, the cross transference argument: those fingers and thumbs.

The shaving rash; creating easier access for viruses.

Unprotected oral, coming on body parts etc etc...

All the above being risky yet we don't find the majority infected with sti's.

Coincidence ? I think not, condoms are keeping things safer.

Needles played a part, but sexual health education of non-drug addicts was the key factor.

'The most common way of getting HIV in the UK is by anal or vaginal sex without a condom. According to statistics from the Health Protection Agency, 95% of those diagnosed with HIV in the UK in 2011 acquired HIV as a result of sexual contact.'

Not being an apologist, just honest! At least I am! Half the women and couples I've spoken to who list 'safe sex' will, if asked, go bareback

So, when you play "safe", who are you playing safe with???

Plus, I still haven't had a full answer how no condom when indulging in oral is safer than bareback when it comes to the likes of AIDS, have I?

Truthfully? In a long term, secure, safe relationship with a clear (clean) sexual history and both D&D free then, of course, it's SO much better to have uncovered sex. Certainly for the male it feels 100 times better feeling the warmth and wetness.

But in a Swinging relationship or other relationship where the above doesn't hold true, absolutely not!

I would never go down the BB route with anyone from here at all - safe sex all the way no question at all!

That's a dangerous and inflammatory thing to say, not only that but flies in the face of medical fact, safer sex yes, no protection against HIV? Rubbish

Demand answers all you like! It's a personal choice what people do. Their choice! If you want all the facts get yourself down the gum clinic and ask the experts.

So do you have unprotected oral with people off here? Do you swallow?

sure, i would absolutley and totally prefer BB. I was married 26 years and that is what I am used to. However since I am now on my own, I am happy with a community where safer sex and condom use is discussed or at least mentioned beforehand as a matter of course

That's the point. We all take risks. We all weigh up the pros and cons

Swallowing for a woman is a bigger risk than going bareback (vaginally) for a (straight) bloke. FACT

No. They don't. However, due to the mores involved, those who indulge daren't say

No. Just remember that the figures showed that women were six times as likely as men to catch diseases due to the volume and nature of juices transferred. So it seems a reasonable extrapolation. Also know it is highly unlikely for a man to catch HIV from a woman. Much more likely the other way round though

Of course we prefer bare back but it's only something we indulge in with each other.

All meets are protected sex. We both do oral without but shel doesn't allow men to cum in her mouth and we have 3 monthly checks at the gum clinic

Not an opinion. Fact. Seminal fluid is a great carrier for the likes of HIV/Aids. I saw a few years back the figure that women were six times more likely than men to catch Aids from men than vice versa. Sorry I can't produce the press clipping but that's what I read. And it makes sense. A man cums in a woman - vaginally, orally, anally - and she is in imbibing, for want of a better word, more than a straight man will through oral, anal or intercourse. Or would you disagree?

Consultant gynaecologists thought that the pill would make women go mad, senior consultants thought that the MMR vaccine caused autism, doctors believed that immunisation didn't work. People get things wrong, will you stop using condoms? Condoms work, fact.

this is all very confusing, you say that no one has said they have ever done bareback, then say you meant are they doing it now, then you ask a question and all the while you know the answer, Most peculiar.

Aren't you contradicting yourself op? How does a woman catch something from swallowing semen unless the man is already infected? Therefore the numbers should be the same. And the acid in a stomach kills a lot of things that the inside of a cock doesn't

No. A woman swallows more cum than a woman excretes. Semen is a better carrier for infection too. As I have said above, I have read that a woman is SIX times more likely to catch from an infected man than vice verda

I have been reading this thread with considerable interest. This is a real life story so trust me. My wife and I have been swinging for 30 years and I have watched her with a lot of blokes.

We have NEVER gone bareback with others however she has had unprotected oral sex but never swallowed. In Feb this year she contracted Hep B and was in hospital for 2 weeks for tests etc.

We were questioned by Public Health and had to give lots of information to them.

She had had 5 blokes in the previous 6 months and only one had cum in a condom. The rest came over her body.

we were told it was caused by unprotected sex but it could have been caused by an operation she had previously.

She has fully recovered but we were devastated and thought we were safe. We even had to have our grown up children tested. can you imagine.

Our doctor told us no sex is safe.

And, please note, a carrier doesn't automatically infect a partner! And no amount of stomach acid will destroy something like HIV - that last bit is not scientific fact but just personal opinion, but surely??????

Demand answers all you like! It's a personal choice what people do. Their choice! If you want all the facts get yourself down the gum clinic and ask the experts.

So do you have unprotected oral with people off here? Do you swallow?

That's the point. We all take risks. We all weigh up the pros and cons

Swallowing for a woman is a bigger risk than going bareback (vaginally) for a (straight) bloke. FACT

do you have a link to the medical facts you state?

No. Just remember that the figures showed that women were six times as likely as men to catch diseases due to the volume and nature of juices transferred. So it seems a reasonable extrapolation. Also know it is highly unlikely for a man to catch HIV from a woman. Much more likely the other way round though

Food for thought???("

But not SIX times more through oral!

And most of the women I've been with excrete a lot more cum/fluid than a man. Maybe you're not doing it right

I think everyone would prefer bareback but each is responsible for their own safer for semantics sake... although it is called safe sex so this term is just as acceptable.

Safe sex its to use a condom to whatever extent they choose and have regular check ups as some viruses such as HIV and syphillus have a 3 month incubation period so may not show up on a 1 off check up.

And as for the silly discussion as to what is correct use or safe sex as regular attendees of clinics you should all be aware as the clinic advise and answer any questions u may need. Also the following reliable info is available to all.

We make our boundaries known to (prospective) partners prior to meets. No one is misled. Similarly on our single profiles. On mine, I consciously never ticked 'safe' sex as it's not my preference and have always checked with people on this issue before meets.

Hence I know some who tick safe sex don't always practice!

Guess people above won't approve - or is it easier to have a pop at the OP?

Some people bare back, up to them

Some people do it and not say, again up to them,

Some practice 'safer' sex, good on em.

If you want 'safe' sex.......abstain. That's the only true safe sex.

There are enough threads with information about it without the need to be preached to.

I'd agree totally we must assume everyone goes so we have a responsibility to ourselves and other to keep it covered. Condoms are very effective in preventing STDs spread by bodily fluids, especially chlamydia, gonorrrhea and HIV. They are less effective in preventing infections that are spread through skin to skin contact, such as human papilloma virus (HPV, linked to genital warts and cervical cancer) and herpes.

So those who find fault with bareback drive it underground

Consequently you end up playing with those who go bareback with others. If they then cum in, say, your mouth, how safe are you?

Not an opinion. Fact. Seminal fluid is a great carrier for the likes of HIV/Aids. I saw a few years back the figure that women were six times more likely than men to catch Aids from men than vice versa. Sorry I can't produce the press clipping but that's what I read. And it makes sense. A man cums in a woman - vaginally, orally, anally - and she is in imbibing, for want of a better word, more than a straight man will through oral, anal or intercourse. Or would you disagree?"

I can't really be arsed to read the rest of the thread. *IF* what you're saying is true (and that's a big if) and a woman is more likely to catch an STI from unprotected oral than a man is from bareback, that changes nothing for me because I'm a woman. I don't really give a shit about the risks or otherwise for a man, that's for them to worry about and I'll look after myself how I see fit. You're allegedly a couple - don't you care about the sexual health of the female?

There is little point arguing. Because as soon as a point is made there is a switch to a different point.

For example the talk of bareback for women being more dangerous was then used to sTate opinions about oral. When bareback covers a multitude of penetrations not just oral.

The reply does not stick to the point it widens or narrows the point therefore making any discussion pointless. It's a bit like when politicians talk about the economy and will reply to a question about the deficit by talking about debt. Then move between debt as a percentage of GDP to total debt. They keep answering subtlety different points. Therefore always seeming to have an answer when actually they provided none.

As for HIV specifically.

Once semen gets past the mouth, stomach acid and enzymes in the esophagus kill the virus. So swallowing or spitting out semen (cum or precum) reduces your risk for HIV, compared with letting it sit in your mouth. A popular jingle is: Spit or Swallow, Don’t Let it Wallow.

However this is HIV only. Other sti's carry alternative risks.

I doubt if you will get many saying they don't prefer it...but that doesn't mean they would do it with just anyone.

You might get some saying they swing bareback as has happened in the past, but their admissions are not normally greeted well so a lot wont chance saying they do.

For me I think it is all about choice, if people choose to bareback that is up to them, just as it is our choice that we dont bareback.

In a ideal world it would be good if they say so, but a lot dont advertise it so I class anyone we meet as they could have gone bareback and look after our sexual health instead.

No it doesn't.... And from your posts you do not sound very clued up on sexual health... Condoms Dont protect against all.... But they do offer greater protection than nothing

Okay ive now read the whole thread... Sorry but it's not fact at all.. oral is a much lower risk even if ejaculation takes place...

Risk is highest for anal, then actually cum in your eye, then vaginal, then oral .. of course other factors increase risk.. is bad gums etc or cuts

Women are more at risk of catching an sti than a man.... One area of risk forgotten is fingers not washed in between ladies at clubs or parties...

And I agree that many say safe sex but don't abide by it... So we go on our own choices and keep our tests up to date x

I am a heterosexual, and I will admit I like to bareback. I get regular tests from the STD clinic with certificates, and I would ideally like to meet women with recent STD certs, for bareback sex.

While I accept this carries a risk, I see the risk as lower than driving, or using a motorbike. Life is about enjoying yourself, while managing risk.

wirral

Last time I mentioned anything on this, the o.p (different thread) then messaged me asking if I was interested in a bbgb..

Just because I like bb and being filled with cum doesn't mean I do it with randoms

But like many people on this thread I have bb with strangers (in my youth) or times when I had got carried away with someone I'd known for a long time

"The misinformation in this thread (especially from the OP) is both startling and depressing.

No wonder those of us with HIV have a hard time actually explaining the real risks."

I have to admit I didn't know you could have HIV and not pass it on. However, that said, I wouldn't meet someone with HIV, regardless.

"Were you not aware it is SAFER sex? NOT safe sex? I had a friend whose father was a consultant gynaecologist who stated that condoms were NO protection against HIV. Only safe sex is abstinence "

A seatbelt isn't guaranteed to save your life in a car crash but you still wear one though
