Just a question to find out people's opinions
When chatting to a 'couple' who have on there profile that they will block unless addressed as a couple put I'm and me instead of our and us would you think that is probably a fake?

No, I'd just avoid them for having double standards, same as cpls who insist you have pics on your profile but have non on their own! |

We're guilty if this in messages but not our profile.
I usually type the message and it's very difficult to use we or the third person but I'm trying as I'm aware it's misleading.
If the first person is used on the profile I would be suspicious, yes. |

I say 'I' or 'my' in the forums a lot.
I do it in messages to friends too. But as a first response or OP ending message it will always be worded as coming from both of us.
Does it mean someone's fake? Possibly, possibly not. Might just be carelessness.

I do this too but when it's new people we've not spoke to it came across as a single or a very selfish half of a couple |

"Probably being too wary
Messages like when I'm in the mood and what I want
It just came across as being not about a couple "
The ones you really need to be wary of is cpls profiles where the guy seems to be free all the time to meet women with the wife's consent!!!! |

"I would say..to whom am I adressing at the present moment? "
That i did and apparently they were both online but at different houses and 'he' didn't know 'she' was online as well |

Any other 'warning signs' ?
Used to happen to us occasionally when I was working away more but I'd always make it clear from the off.
Guess it's a judgement call.

Lots of couples aren't full time.
If you are wary move on.
You're giving details now that they could recognise themselves from. |

Just gut instinct, I guess that's the only thing you have to go on on here with new unverified members |

Always go with your gut, sometimes some of these profiles give me IBS!
We tend to steer clear of unverified users, but if something about them really attracts you, simply ask for a webcam view or a fem2fem telephone chat.

We've always had the view that everyone has to start somewhere just like we did
When you've had your pics stole on here you tend to be a bit more wary though |

We've got suspicious of people using the " I " term and just asked are you a couple? And without exaggeration near enough everytime it's the guy whose mrs is at work or not playing anymore!! |

Sadly the onus will always be on the new, unverified profile to somehow 'prove' they are who they say they are - rather than on you.
If they're local - invite them down the club.
And if they say they can only do a Friday.........

Thats what the male hopes that it is the female who answers |

we had some of our pictures stolen...well mine actually. Anyone can steal them not just the people who message you. Wariness is good though, we tend to believe about half of what anyone tells us and although we tell as much of the truth as its wise to do (never say where we work for instance)we are prepared fro others to be wary of us too. |

We both read the messages but only one person types. It's very impersonal to write us both in the third person. Doesn't mean we are a fake. Especially if one person is running the profile that evening while the other is at work etc |

I would just like to say that there are hundreds upon hundreds of absolutlely genuine couples on here, so if you have the slightest suspicion someone is not genuine, dont take the risk and move on. |

I make it plain through the forums that's it's me (Mr) that does the posting so I'll always use me, I, I'm etc.
It's the same if I answer a message, if we're both around and have input to the message then it will be written as such.
Any mail we send together or separately would address the couple as such until we're sure of their dynamic as a couple.
It's a tad irksome to be referred to in the singular at first contact, but certainly not worth losing sleep over. |
