at the risk of sounding thick & stupid can anyone tell us what the abbreviation "amp" means on peoples profiles please

Its a glitch, when you type "&" the amp appears next to it

and the name of & is amp or ampersand in full, software has a stutter.

Ha yeah we used to have & in our profile title, 'till one day someone mailed us asking what "amp" was about!
