Firstly if you're a single person just seeking others for 1 on 1 casual sex, I don't believe that's swinging.
Secondly some (mainly couples) believe only couples who meet and play, are real swingers. Good old fashioned wife swapping if you like and I take their point totally.
If you're a single male who attends gangbangs or goes dogging, is that swinging ? If you're a female on the receiving end of a gangbang or dogging meet, are you a swinger ?
If you attend swinger clubs purely for the social aspect play or not, is that swinging ?
These questions apply to everyone regardless of gender, gay, straight or bi,
I've been involved in the scene for three decades on and off, firstly as part of a couple and now single.
I'm not really one for labels just interested in different peoples opinions thanks. |

I think 'swinger' is a handy name for someone who indulges in this lifestyle, whether or not they have a partner to swap. There are many couples who state that single men and women cannot be swingers, yet are on this site to meet single men and/or single women. Does this mean they are not swingers too as there is no wife-swapping going on?
I suspect that its a case of 'really, who cares?' because as long as me and my partner(s) are having fun, its not something to get hung up about. |

I am def not a swinger but this site has a degree of integrity that other NSA sites dont.

I class myself as a swinger, in that I want to meet singles, couples and groups for the purpose of recreational sex. I don,t neccessarily want long term partners, friendships or anything else that would be seen as part and parcel of a relationship in the vanilla world. If I met a couple in a pub and we ended up having sex, but I hadn't met them off this site, would that not be swinging as well? I fail to see how having sex with other people in this manner can be anything other than swinging. |

I agree. Swingers can be single, couples, any possible combination. It's the frame of mind that differentiates it from 'just shagging'.
However I won't ever label myself a 'swinger' because of the elitist attitudes of some couples that seem to think they invented sex and swinging. |

Swingers are people, married or single that can define between having sex and making love.
We like playing with other couples and thoroughly enjoy the sex at all levels starting at voyeurism.... However it is that playing that really makes our love making extremely intensive.
I (him) liken it to being in an adults playground where you can enjoy yourself to whatever level is good for you. What's more we are all playing together which is fantastic and we have the opportunity to meet lots and lots of like minded new friends.
Swingers are singles and couples as far as I'm concerned. |
