What percentage of the population swing? Is this more/less than say 20 years ago? What percentage see no issue with it? I ask because I was amazed the other day when a friend, who I never imagined would, said she would swing if circumstances were right .

South Birmingham waiting for the bf to come back after crimbo

I'm sure that some college or university has the answers to your questions about prevalence etc.

It is still a bit of a taboo to talk openly about but I'm sure that with television programmes where it's discussed getting more popular, it won't be long before it is as acceptable for people to say that they swing, in the same way as it's ok to admit to being gay

Why did you "never imagine" she would?

She is quite shy but has a liberal, so I maybe shouldn't have been so surprised.

Many think it goes against marriage vows and feel its as aberrant as many swingers feel singles playing away is. Lets face it there are many judgemental people in the world.

because even people on the scene treat it like a dirty little secret and would hate it if it became mainstream.
