Fabswingers blocked my internet providers

Hello Fab people! I thought you'd like to know that Fabs is now blocked by certain internet providers! I've managed to find a program to bypass the block but without that program, the following message pops up -
'Your HomeSafe settings prevent access to this site.
The site you tried to access was detected to contain content that falls into the category Pornography, which your HomeSafe settings won't allow.'
Surely Fabs can be described as a dating website, not porn!!
I think this is the new government rules coming in to protect children from adult material etc. and most people on Fabs will be ok, as they are the account holders for the internet providers they use, so can change the settings to allow the website as normal.
However, some people (especially the younger adults) like myself still live at home with parents and are not internet account holders and can't change the settings without having a rather embarrassing convo with parents! 'Hi mum/dad, can you change your internet account settings to allow me to watch porn and continue using a swinger website?' lol - that is not going to happen so eventually Fabs will not have many young adults joining up and many current members will not be able to continue being members! I'm a site supporter as well so if I didn't find the program to allow me to bypass the block then I would've paid for a membership that is worthless!
So basically in the future, this site will only have older people on, not many young people! So all you older ladies who want toyboys will miss out, all you old blokes who meet younger women will miss out too!
I Thought I'd let you guys know anyways as I want Fabs to continue as normal! I want more younger adults to join up, not be blocked due to stupid government rules!!!
Have other people noticed Fabs has been blocked??

Okay but you can access fab on your phone so you would need to do so outside away from the wi fi

If pron sites are blocked then there are probably yung children in the house or have access to the net, not a good idea to unblock them |

Well not really had any constructive comments! To the guy who doesn't think 29yo is young? 18-30 are classed as young adults surely? To the woman who said this happened a long time ago, this is the first day my internet provider has blocked fabs... so probably have a different one to you.. to the tech guy - thats a good idea, i shall maybe try taking over the techy stuff in the house to! lol To the other guy commenting..no young children in this house, all adults! To get this unblocked i need to either be the account holder or have the password.. neither of which i am/have..
Thanks for your comments but none have been helpful! Was merely warning others or seeing if anyone else has experienced this problem.. as I'm able to still access the site, this block thing doesn't even affect me! I shouldn't have said anything!!

you dont have to say u want to view porn or a swingers site u have to be 18 to do the lottery or check your numbers

It's 16 to do the lottery the last time I checked.... But erm... Can't you just ask them and not have to give a reason surely at 29 you can have some privacy? |

All I was saying was that at some point some of us have had this site blocked by our internet provider and that goes for mobile phones too, took me 3 months to get mine sorted so I could access this site and I was 50 years old at the time  |

Our WiFi doesn't have a parental block but my phone does. I did have it taken off at a tmobile shop but it popped back up yesterday. I think it could be an EE block now |

EE are an absolute pain in the arse for it. It switches itself on randomly even when your account says it's switched off.

A little melodramatic OP?
I hardly see that a few young-ish adults (and only a few) being temporarily unable to access Fab while at home is going to be the death of the site. Particularly as a lot access it via mobile devices also.

Have a little look through this list, it may give you some excuses as to why you can take off the filters, maybe if you explain to your parents that you really want to get involved in internet piracy or religious extremism, the subject might be lass awkward than explaining you want to meet naughty ladies off the t'nternet

Talk Talk at my week-time digs ban fab and virtually everything else (including a dress shop where I bought L couple of dresses for Whitby)
Anyway, use Tor browser and you can bypass this shit. |

This is an old issue and that's why so many people have solutions for it. I believe the other posters comment about age was based on the legal under 18 interpretation rather than the social definition. Regarding asking your parents about having filters removed, there isn't really a problem its not just porn that is blocked you could just say your on a dating site. |

Mo has had no problem asking her step dad to have the filters switched off either, guess it depends on what your relationship is with your parents and how open you are.
To be honest O.P. your post is very melodramatic because you have a problem, look around at how many profiles on here have younger people on that cant accommodate because they still live with parents. They can still use fab no problem. Maybe you need to chat with your parents more. |

I had this on my phone. because my husband's name is the main account holder they wanted to speak to him. I had a go at them saying he wasn't around and that I was a adult and they let me give them his dob and mine so they could unblock it. |

I think people are being a bit harsh...if I was staying at home there's no bloody way I'd ask my parents to remove the filters, far too embarrassing. And I'm the same age and would like to still class myself as young! |

Why couldn't you ask you parents to remove them? you do know that its not just porn that's blocked.
Appreciate it is your prerogative but just wondered why the young ones posting here can not communicate with their parents? |
