Something I have not yet understood, and have trouble wrapping my head around...
People who either set a 'Meet Today' or display a Status that they are looking for fun that day...
That when you message them, they've disappeared offline and only seem to pop back on for a few minutes at a time and never read your message.
Then their next status is a moaning that 'no one seems to meet on this site' or words to that effect
I can live with the fact that I'm not every ones cup of tea. I can even understand that they're likely to be bombarded with messages. That's all very reasonable.
But to not read a message responding to their desire for a meet and then complain that no one seemed interested, is taking the piss.
Oh dear, that all seems rather negative doesn't it.
Just needed a brief vent.
Rant over.

When I've put up a meet, I've been inundated. When the chat has progressed to arranging time, I get told they weren't available for that day but could I do (insert date).

I've seen people put a meet today on at 0800, go to work or whatever, and not have been onsite at 2000 that night. It doesn't leave much time to arrange anything and I'd hate to be someone who has messaged them and then had to keep checking back to see if it is on or whether they are free to make alternative plans. |

"Perhaps they read your profile and realised you weren't for them, so didn't bother reading your message." I can accept that and I have no problem with that.
It's the ones who disappear off line while you're typing the message that don't seem to come back online that i'm really talking about, lol.
Kinda surprises me that someone would leave an unread message in their inbox rather than deleting it after checking out a profile and deciding they're not for them though. Then again, different people do things differently.
"I think what they mean after is "no one I fancied wanted to meet" "
Yes, that I can accept.
Here's something funny though. I saw one couple, months ago, posted a status for a late night meet. I messaged them and got the standard zero response. OK. No biggie.
Then a few weeks ago, I see them post up a similar status, and as I figured they weren't interested in me before, just ignored it.
Later that evening 'no one up for fun then'
This went on for a few nights each week for a few weeks.
Kinda gets me thinking that they've turned down / ignored everyone who has shown an interest and now no-one wants to know, lol.
To be fair, I can accept all the explanations as to why this happens, because I've come to understand how fab works.
Was just letting off a little steam that's all. |
