Anyone who has glanced at my rather long one (fnarr fnarr) will have noticed it covers a fair amount of ground.
I have noticed a lot of new profiles with the rather generic "I am a straight/bi female looking to meet men/couples/women/etc"
Firstly who is ssuspicious of that sort of profile?
Secondly, is there a preference on profile length?
Your thoughts oh wise people of the forums! |

Tend to ignore people with one line profiles. We like to get a feel for someone from how they write to see if we might click.
Not hugely bothered by length be it a paragraph or War and peace as long as it all has substance and relevance. |

I was rather amused by a status update I saw recently saying that if your profile was more than 3 paragraphs long, you're mentally unstable!! I always thought I was going a bit mad!!
Its up to the individual I guess, I've read long profiles that are boring and really say little while others are so funny, they end too soon although that's rare. I think however long or short it is (the profile that is!) as long as you can get across your personality and humour a bit, you're on a winner. |

I have a descriptive profile which I have just recently cut down a bit, because I was concerned that it's length was putting people off. (snigger)
I have to admit that when I'm searching profiles (women and couples) I am now finding that short profiles such as 'fun', 'will fill in later' or two liners really put me off.
Generally these profiles have no pictures either.
I really do wonder what planet some people are on sometimes, considering that, as a site designed for allowing people to meet for sex, so many don't seem to understand the large part (oo-er missus) that physical attraction plays.
I can certainly understand why so many ladies and couples ignore them.

Yeah too short puts us off, but too long puts us off too, I have to say I have a short attention span and just give us reading and come out of the profile |

I've found that most of the, I'm a single lady and I'm looking to meet men, profiles are fake or time wasters. Come across the 6 months later and nothing's changed lol |

The one liners or a small paragraph demonstrates little effort to us (same goes with messages). Although long profiles which are boring won't hold our interest, unless it's very intelligently written mixed in with a bit of humour.
