I absolutely agree... This would be a great feature. It would also allow people to work out those who are genuine (On their hotlist for a reason) and those who just use it as a quick tool to get to profiles for a perv.... |

What's wrong with using it to perv, that's why I use it, if I like a guys pics I hotlist him so I can find the profile again easy for re perving  |

Oh Lord no! Can see the whinging now . ...
I'm on people's hot lists and they don't message ..or why am I on their hot list when not what they say they want and filters block me from mailing them .
Okay if used purely as another tool , but would be another fixation for some. Rather not have the bother it could bring |

Hell no! My hotlist is more of a shopping list. I monitor their profiles, statuses, forum comments etc. Whenever I sense one of them is ripe for the picking, I pounce.
If they could see they were on my hotlist they could then put in a pre-emptive block, foiling my plan.
Same applies if you could see who's block list you were on. It would be a wall of shame showing just how many had resisted the charms of Mr Marmite...

I honestly don't think it'd be beneficial to either party if it were implemented.
Men would just be more likely to 'Hotlist' a fair few number of profiles. Not only that, but due to the ration of men to others - it'd lead to a woman or couple being 'Hotlist'-ed by probably, a great deal more people.
Sound familiar to anyone?
For women, it's a less efficient private message & practically does the same job as a wink. Further promotes laziness on by us guys. (You can view who has winked you & delete, which is handy.)
For men, I suppose the feature would be ever-so-slightly useful. Knowing who is interested is great... but once again, the Wink feature practically already does this?
I feel that if a women or couple were interested in a guys profile, they'd outright message as they know they are likely to get a response? The reverse is not true due to the metric volume of oogling guys.
If -additional- features were provided, perhaps it'd be something to look into... but purely not worth having the functionality coded in when similar functions already exist! |

Exactly my view, I'd clear mine & stop using it if people could find who's list they were on.
I use it for very random reasons not just people I like |

I don't use my hotlist, or winks. If I'm interested, I send a message. I don't look at winks sent so unless you're top of the list the day I delete, it's going to be overlooked unless I visit your profile, and I wouldn't check hotlist either |

god no!!!
people would just use it as another excuse to whinge if things don't go their way.... and there are enough people who are paranoid when mail goes unanswered this would compound that...
and not everyone uses the hotlist for the same reason.... like someone said above, I tend to use it more like a blacklist (why would you need to see the same updates on both the friends and the hotlist)...... |

No from me.
I once had a brief go on POF and happily put lots of nice looking ladies on my hotlist to contact a few at a time. A week later I got some nutter accusing me of being a stalker because I'd hotlisted her but not messaged... 
I didn't even realise she could see the hotlist |
